This role focuses on applying advanced engineering principles to create innovative solutions that meet performance, safety, and project-specific requirements. Engineers at this level collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and take ownership of assigned projects while ensuring compliance with DoD standards.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and DevelopmentIndependently design and develop mechanical and aerospace systems, components, and processes for diverse applications, including ground vehicles, aircraft, and advanced materials.\nCreate complex CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings using software such as Creo, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with GD&T standards.\nPerform advanced calculations and analyses, including material selection, tolerance stack-ups, and stress analysis, to support design activities.\n\nPrototyping and TestingLead prototype manufacturing efforts, including planning, documentation, and coordination with shop technicians and external vendors.\nDevelop and execute testing procedures to validate designs, ensuring compliance with performance expectations and safety regulations.\nAnalyze test results and recommend design modifications or improvements based on findings.\n\nProject Management and CollaborationCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, to execute project deliverables.\nManage assigned tasks, including scheduling, estimating costs, and tracking progress to ensure timely completion.\nCommunicate technical findings and project updates effectively to clients, team members, and supervisors.\n\nCompliance and Quality AssuranceEnsure designs and processes comply with DoD standards, safety regulations, and project-specific requirements.\nImplement quality assurance practices to maintain consistency and reliability in deliverables.\n\nManager Defined Field:\nIndustry experience with Abaqus CAE or Ansys\nDesign experience with mechanical or electro-mechanical systems\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, or Materials Engineering.\n2+ years of relevant experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering.\nProficiency in CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD, with experience creating complex parametric models and assemblies.\nStrong understanding of engineering principles, including GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and manufacturing processes.\nDemonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nWorking knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools such as ANSYS or ABAQUS.\nExperience in the defense industry or government contracting.\nStrong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to diverse audiences.\n\nWhy CTC?\nMastering the future of manufacturing: Be at the forefront of technological advancements in advanced manufacturing.\nInnovate for impact: Your work will push the boundaries of what's possible, from next-generation armaments to groundbreaking environmental solutions that directly impact critical missions and the lives of those protecting our country.\nWork alongside the best: Collaborate with a passionate team of engineers and scientists, united by a shared drive to excel and a commitment to delivering outstanding results.\nLeave your mark: CTC is more than just a job.
