This role requires solid working knowledge of security protocols and procedures, with the ability to handle moderately complex issues and escalate concerns when necessary. The Security Guard II works under general supervision and may provide tactical guidance to peers or subordinate groups.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEnhanced Security Services \nGuard against fire, theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry, applying established security protocols. \nConduct regular patrols of assigned buildings and grounds, ensuring doors, windows, and gates are secure. \nVerify identification of employees and visitors, ensuring compliance with access control policies during business and non-business hours. \nEnforce company rules and regulations, including addressing infractions such as loitering or smoking in prohibited areas. \nMaintain detailed records and duty logs, ensuring accuracy and completeness. \n\nIncident Management \nIdentify and report irregularities, such as fire hazards, unlocked security doors, or other potentially dangerous conditions. \nHandle moderately complex security issues and escalate concerns to higher levels when necessary. \nProvide tactical guidance to peers or subordinate groups in addressing security concerns. \n\nEmergency Response \nRespond effectively to emergencies, including fire, medical, or security incidents, to maintain order and ensure the safety of personnel and visitors. \nCoordinate with first responders and follow established emergency protocols. \n\nAdditional Responsibilities\nAssist in training and mentoring entry-level security staff. \nPerform other duties as assigned to support the security and operational needs of the company. \nOvernights, Weekends, and Holidays\nExtensive walking - approx. 5 miles \n\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED. \nCompletion of basic security training. \n2+ years of experience in industrial or commercial property security. \nValid driver’s license and reliable motorized transportation. \nProficiency in operating shortwave radios and basic firefighting equipment. \nAbility to lift and transport objects weighing at least 30 pounds regularly. \nEligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance. \n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior experience in a DoD or government contractor environment. \nAdvanced security or emergency response certifications. \nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills for handling moderately complex security issues. \nEffective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with employees, visitors, and law enforcement personnel. \n\nWork Environment/Conditions:\nRegularly engage in activities such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching. \nAbility to exert up to 50 pounds of force during routine tasks. \nClear vision at close and long distances to monitor security systems and conduct inspections. \nStrong reasoning and problem-solving skills to address security concerns effectively. \nBasic proficiency in math, language, writing, and reading. \nModerate noise levels typical of office equipment (e.g., computers, printers). \nOccasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions or temperature-controlled environments. \n\nWhy CTC?\nOur teams at CTC are passionate and thrive on collaboration in a team environment.\nWhen we encounter a difficult problem, we have a variety of talented and diverse employees that work together to solve the toughest challenges.\nAlthough our work at CTC is extremely important, we also recognize the need for our employees to maintain a proper mix of work and personal life.\nCompetitive salary and benefits package.\nVisit www.ctc.com to learn more.\nJoin us!
