Interns apply intermediate technical knowledge, collaborate closely with project teams, and contribute to the design, implementation, and support of cybersecurity solutions.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOwn or lead well-scoped tasks within larger projects, including design, implementation, testing, and documentation of technical solutions.\nContribute to containerized application development, multi-cloud or hybrid deployments, and advanced integration initiatives using DevOps/DevSecOps practices.\nSupport advanced cybersecurity activities such as detailed vulnerability assessments, development of security playbooks, and analysis of security events and logs.\nAssist in evaluating new tools, technologies, or architectures and provide input on their applicability and implementation approach.\nProvide informal mentoring or support to more junior interns by sharing knowledge, demonstrating tools, and reviewing basic work products when appropriate.\nManager Defined Field:\nSupport the Cybersecurity team in monitoring security tools (e.g., SIEM, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection) to identify, log, and escalate potential threats in accordance with established procedures.\nAssist in documenting the current cybersecurity and network architectures, including asset inventories, data flows, and security control implementations, to support audits, assessments, and system accreditation activities.\nParticipate in the execution and documentation of vulnerability assessments and security testing (e.g., scanning, configuration reviews), including tracking findings through remediation and retest.\nContribute to the development and maintenance of cybersecurity runbooks, standard operating procedures, and incident response playbooks tailored to specific systems, applications, and environments.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, network engineering, system administrators) to verify that security requirements are incorporated into system changes, upgrades, and new deployments.\nRequired Qualific ations:\nCurrent enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Engineering, MIS/IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field as a 4th Year/Senior.\nDemonstrated experience (coursework, significant projects, or prior internships) in one or more areas such as software/web development, cloud services, DevOps, cybersecurity, or IT operations.\nProficiency in at least one programming or scripting language and familiarity with modern development tools and practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks).\nWorking knowledge of networks, operating systems, and security fundamentals, with ability to apply this knowledge to real-world scenarios.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with ability to work both independently and collaboratively.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior internship(s) or significant project work in a relevant technical domain (e.g., cloud, cybersecurity, DevOps, application development, or IT support).\nExperience working in agile or iterative development environments.\nRelevant industry certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, cloud provider certifications, or other technical credentials).\nDemonstrated leadership in academic, project, or work settings (e.g., team lead, project lead, club officer).\nWhy CTC?\nOur teams at CTC are passionate and thrive on collaboration in a team environment.\nWhen we encounter a difficult problem, we have a variety of talented and diverse employees that work together to solve the toughest challenges.\nAlthough our work at CTC is extremely important, we also recognize the need for our employees to maintain a proper mix of work and personal life.\nVisit www.ctc.com to learn more.\nJoin us!
