You'll run a portfolio of infrastructure, application and business-change projects from our Johannesburg office.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\n\n Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and success criteria with business sponsors\n\n Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets and resource plans\n\n Lead cross-functional teams of developers, engineers, analysts and vendors through the full project lifecycle\n\n Run project governance: steering committees, status reports, RAID logs (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) and change control\n\n Track progress, budget and benefits, and report clearly to senior stakeholders\n\n Manage vendor and supplier relationships, contracts and deliverables\n\n Apply the right methodology for each project: Waterfall, Agile/Scrum or hybrid\n\n Ensure smooth handover to operations, including documentation, training and post-implementation reviews\n\n Coach and support junior project staff (senior candidates)\n\nDesired Experience & Qualification\n\n Relevant degree in IT, business or engineering\n\n Recognised project management certification \n\n 4+ years' IT project management experience (senior candidates: 8+ years, with multi-project or programme exposure)\n\n Track record of delivering projects with budgets and teams of meaningful size\n\n Strong grasp of the software development lifecycle and IT infrastructure concepts\n\n Proficiency with project tools such as MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps or Smartsheet\n\n Excellent written and verbal communication, and confidence presenting to executives\n\nAdvantageous:\n\n Agile certification (PSM, CSM, SAFe)\n\n Experience in financial services, retail or telecoms environments\n\n Budget and financial management \n\n Change management certification \n\nInterested?\nPlease note: due to the high volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
