The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with other observability tools such as AppDynamics or DataDog. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to design, implement, and manage observability solutions that provide deep insights into our infrastructure and applications.\nKey Responsibilities\nSplunk Observability:\nDesign, deploy, and maintain Splunk's observability solutions including Splunk Infrastructure Monitoring, Splunk APM, and Splunk Log Observer.\nDevelop and manage dashboards, alerts, and reports to monitor the health and performance of systems and applications.\nExperience with Other Observability Tools:\nImplement and maintain integrations with other observability solutions like AppDynamics, DataDog, or similar.\nEnsure seamless data flow between various monitoring tools to provide a comprehensive observability strategy.\nPerformance Monitoring and Optimization\n Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.\nAnalyze and interpret monitoring data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.\nIncident Management:\n Act as a key member of the incident response team, utilizing observability tools to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.\nDevelop and refine incident response procedures and documentation.\nCollaboration and Communication:\n Work closely with DevOps, development, and IT teams to ensure observability solutions meet the needs of all stakeholders.\nProvide training and support to teams on the use of observability tools and best practices.\nContinuous Improvement:\n Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in observability and monitoring.\nProactively identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance the observability infrastructure.\nQualificaitons\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.\nMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in an observability or monitoring role.\nStrong expertise in Splunk's observability solutions.Experience with other observability tools such as AppDynamics, DataDog, or similar.\nProficiency in creating and managing dashboards, alerts, and reports.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. \nKnowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash. \nFamiliarity with DevOps practices and tools. \nRelevant certifications in Splunk or other observability
