Working with the CIO teams, the Lead Engineer will deliver an infrastructure solution that is technically sound, resilient to failure, operationally supportable, and meets the requirements of the business. Deliver of the infrastructure solution requires a variety of skills including infrastructure architecture, hands-on buildout and configuration of the infrastructure, installation and configuration of the application, as well as project technical leadership skills to ensure projects are delivered within scope and on-time. A high degree of collaboration with developers, third party vendors, database engineers, and other infrastructure teams is required to provide the right level of agility within a defined delivery process. The ideal candidate will leverage a consultative approach, exhibit strong leadership skills, will be forward thinking, and will be able to work effectively across a multitude of technical and non-technical groups in a diverse and talented team.\nResponsibilities\nLead cross-functional project teams to design and implement highly available multi-tier Windows or Cloud applications.\n\nCollaborate across business and technical disciplines to develop Infrastructure / System Engineering Designs for internally hosted solutions.\n\nImplement solutions by writing automation processes to deploy systems, applications, containers, surrounding technologies.\n\nBe the primary infrastructure interface for business unit and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nTechnical leadership for project assignments.\n\nDocument the technical design for Project and Operations teams as part of project deliverables.\n\nScript / automation development for repeatable processes.\n\nPerform other duties as required.\n\nRequirements\nExperience utilizing a consultative approach while interacting with customers and appropriate representatives to analyze, validate, specify, verify, document, and manage the requirements.\n\nCurrent enterprise-class infrastructure and system engineering experience with Windows/SQL and cloud-based platforms.\n\nExperience in automation or script development. Powershell preferred.\n\nExperience with automated systems builds and configuration management tools including VRO, Terraform, SCCM, SCO, etc.\n\nWorking knowledge of networking protocols and components.\n\nExperience designing and implementing High Availability, Active/Active, and Disaster Recovery solutions.\n\nExperience working on a matrix team consisting of a variety of infrastructure engineers, development teams, and client relationship teams.\n\nAbility to quickly learn new technologies.\n\nAbility to produce high quality operational documentation, including Visio diagrams, high-level descriptions of the environment, as well as detailed instructions outlining the steps required to repeat the build-out and configuration of the infrastructure.\n\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code deployments, CI/CD, etc.\n\nStrong customer service skills with a high level of professionalism and the ability to work with complex designs and situations.\n\nProven ability to collaborate remotely.\n\nAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.\n\nKeen attention to detail.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent degree is desirable.\n\nFlexible Working\nAt Conduent, we want you to be yourself. For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive.
