Technology management is an integral weapon in the fight against a disease outbreak. It securely tracks patients infected with or exposed to dire communicable diseases such as Novel Coronavirus, Ebola, Zika, measles, tuberculosis, HIV/STDs, and influenza. No interaction is too small when tracing infection exposures-every handshake matters.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Maven Java Support Engineer, you will be the first and second level of support for our Clients. You will provide technical software assistance directly for our Clients, participate and/or lead regular issue tracking and ticket review meetings internally and with the Clients. Focus for the Team is on production related issues and activities.\nThe Maven Java Support Engineer must primarily possess strong problem-solving ability alone and in working with others. They must also possess strong communication skills for effectively working with associates and Clients.\nThe specific technical skills required are: \nJAVA/J2EE\n\nSQL and Relational Databases (e.g. Oracle, MSQL, PostgreSQL)\n\nJavascript and related technologies (e.g. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery,\nAjax)\n\nXML\n\nAlso, working knowledge of the following will be helpful:\nApp Servers (e.g. Tomcat, Websphere, AWS, Azure)\n\nDevelopment methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall)\n\nResponsibilities\nWork closely with other Support Engineers, Maven Core Engineers, Quality Assurance Testing Engineers.\n\nEffectively utilize the Jira issue tracking system for tracking of all support issues, within the defined client-specific Service Level Agreement (SLA).\nEffectively utilize the Jira issue tracking system for tracking of all Maven Migration requests and DCRs, within Client expectations.\n\nAfter-hours phone support coverage may be required based on business needs.\nFollowing Conduent policy on entering time spent on projects and tasks.\nTraveling to client or company sites as required.\nThe Maven Java Support Engineer’s primary responsibilities include providing Production Support Services such as:\nIssue Ticket Resolution/Fixes\n\nBuilds for Change Requests\n\nMinor/Major Software Release Migrations/Builds\n\nEscrow Packaging and Delivery\n\nChange Requests\n\nSoftware Security Scans\n\nDefects\nImprovements\nFeatures\nMigrations\nImplementations\nSoftware Security Scans\nCode Reviews\nAccountability:\nJob performance will be measured by continual client satisfaction, meeting contractual obligations, and the completion of project and tasks related to assigned deliverables within established timeframes. This position reports to the Maven Delivery Manager.\nBasic Qualifications for Consideration\nBachelor of Science in Software Development and 4+ years of experience in Java Software Development or equivalent work experience.\nKnowledge of enterprise software required, with knowledge of public health industry a plus.\nStrong analytical, conceptual, and technical problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to deliver outstanding customer service, including excellent listening and empathy skills.\nAbility to organize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and navigating competing priorities.\nExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.\nCapacity to remain calm, composed, and articulate when dealing with challenging situations.\nDemonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams and organizations.\nSelf-motivated high achiever who can learn in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment with limited direct supervision.\nFlexible Working\nAt Conduent, we want you to be yourself.
