You'll sit at the intersection of automation, reliability, developer experience, and security, building the foundations that allow our product teams to ship quickly, safely, and at scale.\nAs an early-stage, fast-growing company, we value engineers who take ownership, think in systems, and are comfortable operating in ambiguity. In this role, you'll design and maintain the paved roads for our engineers, while also owning reliability, observability, and security across a complex, real-time platform serving regulated financial you.\nWhat you’ll do:\nOwn and evolve CI/CD pipelines, reducing friction and improving deployment safety\n\nImplement automation to reduce operational toil and improve mean time to recovery\n\nDesign, build, and maintain internal developer platforms that enable self-service deployments, testing, and observability\n\nDefine, monitor, and continuously improve SLIs and SLOs across distributed systems\n\nParticipate in on-call rotations, lead incident response, and run blameless post-mortems to drive long-term reliability improvements\n\nProactively identify reliability, scalability, and performance risks, and lead initiatives to improve system resilience\n\nOwn the security of our cloud infrastructure and delivery pipeline\n\nManage and optimize Condukt's cloud infrastructure on GCP (GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, etc.)\n\nMaintain and tune Elasticsearch clusters supporting search and indexing workloads\n\nConfigure and optimize Cloudflare for edge performance, security, and reliability\n\nDrive cloud cost efficiency without compromising performance or reliability\n\nPartner closely with Product and Engineering teams to support platform needs and roadmap decisions\n\nWhat you bring:\n5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, SRE, or Senior/Staff Software Engineer in production environments\n\nStrong hands-on experience with GCP or equivalent cloud platforms\n\nDeep experience with Kubernetes (GKE preferred), Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code\n\nProven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, ArgoCD, or similar)\n\nHands-on experience securing cloud infrastructure: IAM, secrets management, and vulnerability management\n\nSolid understanding of observability practices: metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting (OpenTelemetry or similar)\n\nComfort owning on-call responsibilities and leading incident management in high-availability systems\n\nStrong communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego mindset\n\nAbility to operate independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments \n\nBonus:\nExperience operating and tuning Elasticsearch clusters in production\n\nExperience working in
