If you’re passionate about mechanics and eager to contribute to meaningful projects while growing your career within a supportive and safety-focused team, we want to hear from you!\nKey Responsibilities\nDisassemble and reassemble components such as engines, transmissions, cooling systems, fuel and exhaust systems, breaks, clutches, differentials, hydraulics, electrical systems and lubrication systems \nInspect and test to detect faults and malfunctions in drill units, diesel compressors, hydraulic support equipment, high pressure water pumps \nDiagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required \nPerform duties that range from routine preventative maintenance to repairing major breakdowns, including troubleshooting and diagnostics \nContributing to the development of apprentices and working as part of a team to accomplish maintenance goals and targets. \nService attachments and working tools \nVerify and repair emission control systems\nHealth & Safety\nEmbrace with and respect ConeTec’s safety culture, first and foremost\nEnsure proper preparation and knowledge of all necessary safe operating procedures before beginning any job.\nReport any safety-related incidents, infractions, or near misses to the Project Manager and the HSE Officer, immediately.\nProfessional Experience / Qualifications\n5 + years of experience with industrial heavy equipment including hydraulic equipment, diesel engines and compressors, high-pressure water pumps, drill units, diesel trucks, crawlers, and pumps \nAbility to diligently organize work, make decisions, and set priorities \nValid driver's license \nPrevious experience working on drilling equipment is an asset. \nStrong interpersonal skills \nSoft Skill Requirements\nMust possess a strong work ethic and represent the company in a professional manner.\nMust be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.\nMust be responsible and work well independently or in a team setting with minimal supervision.\nMust enjoy working outdoors and travelling for extended periods of time.\nMust enjoy performing a wide variety of duties and be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent. \nMust be a licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic (Journeyman).\nInterprovincial trade qualifications in Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics (Red Seal Certification) preferred.\nBenefits\nGroup benefits: Health, dental, and vision coverage, plus Wellness and Health Spending Accounts (WSA/HSA) Phone Allowance.\nRRSP matching program.\nCompetitive compensation $42 to $49/hr based on experience\nTravel compensation: Paid travel time and meals for travel to and from project sites.\nEmployee share program with company matching.\nReferral program bonus for referring successful candidates.\nAs part of our dedicated focus on the health and safety of all employees, and due to the requirement that employees be able to safely complete the tasks associated with this job position, a successful candidate may be required to take a pre-employment fit for duty test, including drug and alcohol testing, and complete a satisfactory criminal record check.\nConeTec is an equal opportunity employer.
