And it stands to reason that none of this would have been possible without the hundreds of hard-working employees who work at Confluence.\nMore about the role & team\n\nThis is a high-impact role within a lean team, sitting at the intersection of product, data, and engineering.\nRather than a typical Business Analyst position, this role is hands-on - you’ll work directly with data, shape how it flows through systems, and help deliver real, usable data solutions across the business.\nYou’ll partner closely with product and engineering teams to turn complex data needs into clear technical requirements, supporting the build of data feeds, pipelines, and transformations.\nAt the same time, you’ll manage multiple priorities, improve processes, and introduce automation to make data delivery more efficient.\nThis is a broad, fast-paced role with real ownership - giving you the opportunity to drive solutions end-to-end and influence how data is structured and delivered.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\nTranslate business and product requirements into clear technical data specifications for engineering teams\nManage data ingestion and transformation workflows, including external vendor data feeds and internal datasets \nCollaborate with developers to deliver data pipelines, feeds, and transformations\nMonitor and improve data quality, identifying anomalies and resolving issues across datasets \nOwn small to mid-sized data projects end-to-end, balancing multiple requests and priorities \nIdentify opportunities to automate and optimize processes using Python or similar tools \nPartner with stakeholders across product, engineering, and BI teams to ensure data solutions meet business needs\n\nPlease note: We are unable to sponsor visas or consider candidates requiring work permits at this time.\nWhat skills and experience do I need to succeed?\nWhat You Bring\n Essential Requirements\nStrong SQL expertise (non-negotiable) \nAbility to work effectively with data pipelines, schemas, feeds, APIs, and data warehouses \nProven ability to work independently with data and deliver solutions end-to-end\nExperience translating business requirements into clear technical specifications \nStrong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders \nAbility to operate with high autonomy and manage multiple requests or projects simultaneously \n1-3 years’ experience in a market data, data analytics, or financial data environment \n Nice to Have\nPython for automation or process improvement \nExperience with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) \nFamiliarity with data ingestion, transformation, and vendor data workflows \nExperience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau \nExposure to AI tools or an interest in automation \n\nWhat do we offer?\nConfluence offers generous benefit packages for team members.
