You will contribute to Cloudnxt Azure, our new Azure foundation, helping migrate products including Omnia, One Connect and UDL onto a common cloud environment. You will work on Infrastructure as Code, cloud migration, deployment automation and the processes needed to operate these environments effectively.\nYou will join an internationally distributed team and play an important part in accelerating our move towards repeatable, automated infrastructure. While project delivery will be your main focus, you will also bring enough broader infrastructure knowledge to provide cover across Windows, Linux and Active Directory when required.\nTechnology Stack\nMicrosoft Azure | Terraform | Jenkins | CI/CD | Git | Windows | Linux | Active Directory | Python | PowerShell | Bash | Ansible | AWS | Generative AI tools including Claude\nKey Responsibilities\nBuild and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles, supporting Confluence’s evolving Azure environment. \nSupport cloud migration projects as products move onto the Cloudnxt Azure platform.\nDevelop automation that replaces manual infrastructure processes with repeatable, version controlled solutions across Microsoft and Linux environments. \nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes using Jenkins or equivalent technologies.\nUse generative AI tools responsibly to accelerate coding, automation, troubleshooting and technical documentation, while critically reviewing and validating outputs.\nCreate clear technical documentation, procedures and runbooks while contributing to the wider team’s operational responsibilities when required.\nWhat skills and experience do I need to succeed?\nEssential Requirements\nPractical experience delivering Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.\nExperience working with a major cloud platform. Azure is preferred, although relevant AWS experience and the ability to transfer your knowledge to Azure will also be considered.\nSoftware engineering capability demonstrated through development, advanced scripting or automation projects.\nProgramming or scripting capability using a relevant language such as Python, PowerShell, Bash or Java. You do not need experience with every language listed.\nExperience automating Microsoft and Windows based environments and a willingness to work across both Windows and Linux technologies. \nExperience with CI/CD principles and tooling such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or equivalent.\nAn automation focused engineering mindset with the ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and apply transferable engineering principles.\nA willingness to use generative AI as part of your engineering workflow and the judgement to review, validate and improve AI generated outputs.\nDesirable Requirements\nHands on Azure experience, particularly across cloud infrastructure, automation, migrations or landing zones. \nExperience with Ansible or other configuration management technologies.\nKnowledge of monitoring, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, vulnerability remediation or cloud security. \nPractical experience using Claude or another generative AI assistant for engineering, troubleshooting, log analysis or documentation. \nRelevant cloud or automation certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect or HashiCorp Terraform Associate.\n\nWhat do we offer?\nConfluence offers generous benefit packages for team members.
