One Data Streaming Platform.\nAbout the Role:\nWe are a team of passionate engineers who love solving complex distributed systems and infrastructure problems. We are building Kora from the ground up to be a true managed service for clients who demand high levels of availability and performance at the lowest cost of ownership. In this role, you will be working on building a highly available, performant, reliable, durable, scalable, and multi-tenant storage engine for Kora. You will be instrumental in driving the technical solutions end-to-end, working closely with the team and key stakeholders to design, architect, and develop top-notch solutions.\nWhat You Will Do:\nBuild the software underpinning the mission-critical Confluent Cloud storage engine. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing and operationalizing high performance, scalable, reliable and resilient systems.\n\nIndependently drive execution of software projects to deliver complex projects in production with a focus on quality.\n\nIdentify root causes, and get beyond treating symptoms - motivated to dig deep and solve hard problems\n\nTroubleshoot issues and improve operations for complex technical stack that spans all the 3 clouds.\n\nHave a strong sense of teamwork and be able to make decisions which benefit the team and company.\n\nCustomer focused - making customers more successful by taking on their most challenging problems motivates you.\n\nWhat You Will Bring:\nBS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience\n\n2+ years of relevant cloud infrastructure/cloud networking experience\n\nStrong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development\n\nExperience building and operating large-scale systems in the Cloud\n\nSolid understanding of basic systems operations (disk, network, operating systems, etc)\n\nA self starter with the ability to work effectively in teams\n\nProficiency in Java, Scala, C/C++, Go or other statically typed languages\n\nWhat Gives You an Edge:\nA strong background in distributed storage systems or databases\n\nExperience in the areas of resource management and QoS\n\nExperience/knowledge with public clouds (AWS, Azure or GCP)\n\nInterest in evangelism (giving talks at tech conferences, writing blog posts evangelizing Kafka)\n\nReady to build what's next?
