The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel systems, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting for both on-road and off-road equipment. \n\nResponsibilities:\nInspect, assess, and repair container handling equipment and heavy trucks.\nPerform routine and preventive maintenance on side loaders, hostlers, forklifts, and related machinery.\nTroubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, motors, filters, and hoses.\nConduct driveline repairs on components such as axles, bearings, rings, and other related parts.\nMaintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.\nOperate safely in a fast-paced, outdoor railyard environment and adhere to all company safety protocols.\nCollaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely and efficient repairs.\nQualifications:\n1–3 years of experience as a container handling equipment mechanic or service technician.\nHydraulic systems experience required (pumps, valves, motors, filters, and hoses).\nDriveline component repair experience (axles, bearings, ring, etc.).\nAbility to work in various weather conditions.\nAbility to work in a safety focused environment.\nAbility to lift 50lbs.\nMust have a Valid Driver’s License.\nMust pass a pre-employment background verification and drug screening\nThe Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations.
