This role involves troubleshooting and performing maintenance on Thermo King and Carrier Gensets, ensuring that equipment is in optimal working condition to meet shipping and transportation needs.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDiagnose and troubleshoot issues with Thermo King and Carrier refrigerated shipping containers and Gensets.\nPerform necessary repairs on refrigeration units, including electrical and mechanical components.\nConduct pre-trip inspections to ensure proper functioning of refrigerated containers before shipment.\nProvide maintenance and corrective actions on Gensets (thermo-electric units).\nEnsure compliance with safety standards and procedures during all repair and diagnostic activities.\nWork closely with logistics and shipping teams to ensure timely and efficient container readiness.\nMaintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance performed.\nAssist with ordering parts and managing inventory to ensure necessary tools and materials are available for repairs.\nFollow up on repair status and communicate with the team to meet deadlines and customer expectations.\nQualifications:\nProven experience as a Refrigerated Shipping Container Technician or similar role.\nStrong knowledge of Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration systems and Gensets.\nAbility to diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues.\nExperience with pre-trip inspections and troubleshooting techniques for refrigerated units.\nStrong communicator; communicates with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nExperience with reading and understanding computer generated work orders\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.\nConforms with and abides by all work regulations, policies, procedures, safety rules and instructions\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nEPA Ceritifcation \nValid driver’s license and ability to operate a forklift.\nWillingness to obtain Forklift Certification\nAbility to lift 50 pounds.\nMust pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening.\nThe Federal Rail Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations. Use of cannabis is strictly prohibited.
