We foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, supported by leadership that values professional growth and technical excellence.\nThis position is based in Denver, Colorado area and follows a hybrid work schedule.\nCandidates residing outside of the Denver area are encouraged to apply.Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates who are selected for the role and require relocation to the Denver metro area.\nThe annual salary range for this position is $104,134- $163,640.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nLead the development of software applications and subsystems across the full product development lifecycle, including architecture, implementation, verification, deployment, and post-market support.\nProvide technical leadership in embedded and application software design, contributing to system architecture for safety- and quality-critical medical devices and establishing best practices across the software development team.\nDesign, develop, and maintain embedded software systems for complex medical devices.\nLead in designing and developing a secure system architecture to ensure product security, safety, and effectiveness per IEC 81001-5-1 and IEC 62304.\nLead development of software verification strategies, including test plans, protocols, and reports in compliance with applicable regulatory standard.\nCollaborate cross functionally to support design transfer, manufacturing release, and post-release product support.\nConduct and lead peer code reviews, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and maintainability standards.\nWork closely with commercial, clinical, and marketing stakeholders to translate User Requirements into clear, testable Software Requirements Specifications.\nSupport released products through software maintenance, modification, and revalidation activities.\nProvide input on selection, adoption, and implementation of software development tools, processes, and technologies.\nMentor and provide technical guidance to other software engineers as appropriate.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline.\nBachelor’s degree with 7+ years of software development experience OR Master’s degree with 5+ years of software development experience\n3+ years experience with embedded systems and test/verification practices\nOther Attributes:\nExperience designing software for regulated or safety-critical systems\nExperience with C/C++ and/or other relevant languages\nDemonstrated experience leading or owning significant software subsystems or architectures in regulated environments.\nA solid foundation of software design principles and practices, including secure software architecture design.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with software development under standards such as IEC 62304 or similar\nExperience with embedded debugging, hardware/software integration, or system-level troubleshooting\nFamiliarity with modern development tools, testing frameworks, and scripting or automation\nExperience with distributed or connected systems (cloud, web, or data persistence)\n0-20% Travel\nDisclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is $104,134- $163,640.
