You will be responsible for building and maintaining complex business intelligence solutions and architectures. Reviews technical and business requirements to ensure BI solutions meet a business need. Implement procedures to automate the allocation of data, control accessibility and maintain security controls. Apply basic principles, theories, and concepts to development projects. Solve a diverse range of complex problems, working closely with the Database Administrator. Provide support during system implementation and production. Suggest new features, coding techniques and reference material. This is located in Norfolk, VA\nThis position will be responsible to:\nMonitors network traffic and bandwidth utilization to isolate problematic data streams, reduce bottlenecks and improve network performance. \nInstalls, configures and maintain necessary hardware and software for this purpose\nInstalls, configures, and maintains the hardware and software required for Call Center, Call Manager, Voice Mail, Instant Messaging, Presence, VOIP, Firewalls, and other devices needed for analog or digital voice or data communications.\nTroubleshoots and resolves network outages, network performance issues, or networked application issues.\nDesigns and installs wired and wireless Local Area Networks in accordance with manufacture recommendations and standard industry practices. \nTravels to remote sites when needed for new installs, upgrades, or disaster recovery.\nDocuments network topology, dial plans, IP addressing schemes, network and security standards, remote access methods and user guides, switch and router configurations and inventory, maintenance procedures, disaster recovery procedures, and other IT documentation as required.\nOrders and tracks the installation of all voice and data circuits. Tests network redundancy configurations, firewalls, and disaster recovery failover methods.\nResearches new technologies and participates in vendor demonstrations and test projects. \nCompiles network specifications and price quotes for new projects.\nManages network projects, coordinates vendors, tracks project purchases, and keeps voice and data service contracts up to date.\nMiscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned.\nSkill Sets / Education & Experience Requirements:\nVocational or Technical Diploma required.\nMinimum 6 years of experience required.\nAdvanced knowledge of Cisco routing and switching equipment configuration \nAdvanced knowledge of Cisco IOS \nAdvanced knowledge of Ethernet and TCP/IP protocols\nAdvanced knowledge of switching and routing protocols\nAdvanced knowledge of Checkpoint Firewall hardware and software configuration\nAdvanced knowledge of Network security principals and protocols\nAdvanced knowledge of Cisco Call Manager and VOIP topology and configuration\nAdvanced knowledge of Cisco Call Center software installation and configuration \nAdvanced knowledge of network security and bandwidth monitoring tools\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Server operating systems\nExcellent customer service skills in person or over the phone\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nGood organizational skills\nGood
