With more than 40 years in the industry, Conner continues to deliver reliable, tailored packaging solutions that meet the demands of our customers.\nKEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe Packaging Sales Representative plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by managing all stages of the sales process, including prospecting, cold calling, presenting solutions, preparing and negotiating proposals, closing deals, and overseeing ongoing account management.\nAs a Packaging Sales Representative at Conner Industries, you will be responsible for securing new custom protective packaging solutions incorporating wood, foam, corrugate and other materials for customers for our Lewisburg, TN and Guthrie, KY plants. The primary focus of this role is developing new business within the regional market surrounding our Lewsiburg, TN and Guthrie, KY facilities, while also pursuing strategic opportunities with customers throughout the U.S.\nIf you are a strategic, results-driven sales professional with a strong new-business development mindset, a passion for thinking big, and the drive to maximize your earning potential, this is the opportunity for you!\nRequirements\nDUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS\nQuickly understand and effectively communicate Conner’s value proposition.\nBuild and maintain a robust sales pipeline while utilizing a CRM system to track and manage opportunities.\nDevelop and negotiate customized pricing contracts tailored to client needs.\nManage account profitability while maximizing expansion revenue opportunities.\nOversee the entire customer journey, from onboarding through the production cycle, ensuring a seamless and satisfactory experience.\nCollaborate with sales and operations support teams to drive business success.\nDemonstrate a track record of sales success and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.\nExhibit self-motivation, a strong desire to learn, and a passion for business development.\nEffectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks with keen attention to detail.\nDevelop and deliver compelling presentations to both small and large audiences.\nMaintain an energetic, organized, and proactive approach to managing various projects and priorities.\nQUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in pallet, container, protective packaging, or 3PL sales.\nAbility to travel up to 50% regionally, with occasional overnight travel as needed.\nBachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.\nCoursework in business-related fields is a plus.\nExperience in complex manufacturing and service-based sales is advantageous.\nProven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.\nStrong proficiency in presentations and computer skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication abilities.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThis role is based out of a Conner Industries facility, with flexibility for remote work as needed.
