The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in contract performance, operational excellence, and driving continuous improvement across multiple projects and sites.\nExperience\nProven experience as a Contracts Manager, Senior Contracts Manager, Project Manager or similar construction management role.\nExperience managing multiple construction projects/contracts simultaneously.\nStrong contractor, subcontractor and supply chain management experience.\nExperience managing project budgets, costs, programmes and resources.\nProven experience administering contracts, variations, instructions and change control processes.\nExperience monitoring project performance, risk management and compliance.\nExperience working directly with clients and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.\nExperience leading, coordinating and developing site teams and/or junior managers.\nTechnical Knowledge\nStrong understanding of construction project lifecycles from mobilisation through to handover.\nSound knowledge of procurement practices and contract administration.\nUnderstanding of pre-contract and post-contract management responsibilities.\nKnowledge of construction health & safety legislation and CDM regulations.\nUnderstanding of quality assurance and compliance requirements within construction projects.\nCommercial awareness with the ability to identify risks, opportunities and cost-saving measures.\nQualifications\nRelevant qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong leadership and people management skills.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nStrong planning, organisation and project coordination abilities.\nEffective problem-solving and decision-making skills.\nAbility to manage competing priorities and deliver projects within deadlines.\nProficient in Microsoft Excel and project reporting systems.\nAbility to produce and present project performance updates to clients and senior stakeholders.\nDesirable Criteria\nExperience within social housing, planned maintenance, refurbishment or maintenance contracts.\nExperience managing small works programmes.\nExperience operating in agile or fast-paced project environments.\nExperience mentoring or developing Assistant Contracts Managers or similar roles.\nDemonstrable track record of continuous improvement and process optimisation.\nStrong reputation for collaborative working and high-quality project delivery.\nExperience inspecting completed works against legislative, contractual and quality
