Not only will you work independently, but you’ll also collaborate with a diverse group of talented professionals. \nLeading crucial meetings with clients\nCoaching (and making sure you become a coach) and beginning to lead training \nReviewing work\nEngagement and project management / ownership\nEnhancing your brand\nIncreasing your level of expertise in multiple areas\nBegin to become involved in business development\nProvide excellent timely client service, deliver high quality work, and strengthen client relationships\nAdd value through complex transaction analyses including IPOs, M&A, Divestitures, SPACs/Reverse Mergers, and Debt/Equity private placements\nUnderstand technical accounting background, FASB and SEC rules and regulations, client deadlines and deliverables, requests, and preferences to deliver excellent client services\nIdentify, analyze and conclude on generally accepted accounting principles for the client and consult with director or engagement partner\nSupervise, coach and mentor all levels of staff. Develop and communicate workplace culture and code of conduct\nLead, manage multiple projects, coach engagement teams, and own client relationships\nStrengthen client relationships and generate additional engagement opportunities through excellent quality, timely execution, and strategic approach to service delivery (i.e., One Firm - Passion, Pride and Purpose)\nSupport growth efforts through pursuits, market research and maintaining a network I.e., your social capital.\nDevelop and maintain relationships with clients to successfully prepare and complete audits\nInteract with clients, auditors, investment bankers, legal counsel (client & bankers) and manage multiple projects while demonstrating excellence, courage, and discipline.\nAdd value to public and private clients by assisting in any of the following:\nDetailed revenue analysis and revenue recognition - existing and future products/services.\nEquity - stock compensation (FAS 123R, warrant accounting) and EPS.\nDraft or review complex sets of financial statements (FS), FS disclosures, MD&A, critical accounting policies, Cap table and SEC comment letter responses.\nSEC Reporting, including S-1, F-1, 10K, 20-F, 10Q, 8K, 6K and other filings.\nIdentification and application of technical accounting guidance to client situations under US GAAP (e.g., Leases, Business combinations, foreign currencies, Capitalization of internal use software and website development costs\nGlobal accounting activities including IFRS, foreign currency and consolidations\nDesired Skills & Experience:\n7+ years of public accounting and industry experience required (minimum of 3 years in public accounting)\n3 or more years of prior experience managing teams and owning their work product\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent required\nCPA license preferred\nExperience and familiarity with broad range of industries including those such as tech, biotech, and life sciences \nProfessional and personable demeanor\nPassion for helping clients with a strong interest in technical accounting \nHard working, disciplined, detail oriented and ability to motivate engagement teams\nExperience writing complex technical accounting position papers\nProven solid verbal and written communication skills\nAptitude for technical accounting research and self-education, desire to learn and be an expert\nAbility to act and lead as the client contact Knowledge of IFRS or other international accounting standards a plus\nProficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills\nSome travel may be expected (about 10%)\nConnor Group is committed to celebrating the value of diversity in a globally connected business world.
