and staying abreast of industry developments applicable to estimating.\nResponsibilities / Essential Functions\nEnsure that the estimating process runs smoothly and efficiently, and client expectations are exceeded throughout the duration of the project(s). \nBuild relationships to understand client, designer and subcontractor needs and expectations. \nAnalyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimate for projects. \nEffectively facilitates collaboration amongst team members. \nEffectively communicate with all stakeholders. \nParticipate in business development activities, presentations and interviews. \nPrepare quantity take-offs and apply unit pricing for material and labor to establish a value for the work. \nUnderstand the full scope of the project through document review and asking questions of the design team and owner. \nPrepare value engineering and risk analysis. \nPrepare qualifications and assumptions for the estimate. \nPrepare cost comparisons/reconcile with previous estimates. \nManage Subcontractor solicitation & selection process. \nPrepare Exhibit B, and/or scope sheets. \nEnsure quality control of bids and estimates. \nPrepare an in-house budget and GMP. \nKey Skills\nStrong verbal and written communication skills. \nExtreme attention to detail required. \nStrong initiative and problem-solving abilities. \nAbility to multi-task and self-prioritize. \nMotivated and driven. \nAbility to work in a team environment with a primary focus on collaboration.\nRequired Experience\nBS or MS in Engineering or Construction Management with a minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating field. \n10+ years of experience in construction. \nStrong proficiency in Microsoft office, especially Excel. \nProficiency in specialized estimating software. \nUnderstanding of the influence of market conditions on
