This role ensures users receive appropriate access to perform their job functions while maintaining compliance with security, governance, and licensing requirements.\nThe administrator serves as the primary steward for ServiceNow user provisioning and role management, ensuring users are not over-provisioned, elevated licenses are controlled, and access aligns with the principle of least privilege. This individual provides regular reporting and proactive communication to leadership regarding license consumption, access risks, and governance opportunities.\nResponsibilities\nUser Access Management\nAdminister user accounts within the ServiceNow platform.\nProvision, modify, and deprovision user access based on approved requests.\nAssign appropriate roles and group memberships according to job responsibilities.\nEnsure timely removal of access when users transfer roles or leave the organization.\nValidate that access requests comply with established governance standards.\nRole and Group Administration\nCreate and maintain ServiceNow groups.\nEnsure groups contain only the roles necessary for users to perform their responsibilities.\nReview and optimize role assignments to prevent over-provisioning.\nApply role-based access control (RBAC) best practices.\nCollaborate with process owners to define and maintain appropriate access models.\nLicense Management and Governance\nMonitor elevated and specialized ServiceNow license consumption.\nTrack license utilization against contracted allocations.\nIdentify unused, duplicate, or excessive license assignments.\nRecommend license reclamation opportunities.\nAlert leadership and platform governance teams when license thresholds are approached or exceeded.\nProduce recurring license consumption and forecasting reports.\nCompliance and Audit Support\nConduct periodic access reviews and certification activities.\nEnsure compliance with internal security policies and governance standards.\nSupport audit requests related to user access and role assignments.\nMaintain documentation related to access management procedures.\nAssist with segregation of duties and access control reviews.\nReporting and Metrics\nDevelop and maintain dashboards and reports for: \nUser counts\nElevated role assignments\nLicense utilization\nGroup membership trends\nDormant accounts\nAccess review findings\nPresent findings and recommendations to platform leadership.\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to streamline access management processes.\nRecommend governance improvements related to user administration and licensing.\nSupport implementation of ServiceNow access management best practices.\nPartner with ServiceNow Platform Administrators, Security, HR, and Governance teams to improve access controls.\nQualifications\n3+ years of ServiceNow administration experience. \nExperience managing ServiceNow users, groups, and roles. \nUnderstanding of ServiceNow licensing models and user types. \nKnowledge of role-based access control (RBAC) principles. \nExperience supporting compliance, audit, or governance activities. \nStrong analytical and reporting skills. \nExcellent organizational and communication skills.\nRequired Qualifications:\nServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs):\nPercentage of users with access aligned to approved roles.\nNumber of over-provisioned users identified and remediated.\nElevated license utilization rate.\nLicense compliance against contracted allocation.\nTime to fulfill access requests.\nCompletion rate of periodic access reviews.\nReduction in unused or dormant accounts.\nAccuracy of role and group assignments.\nShifts Requirements:\n2 PM to 11 PM IST/ 7 PM to 4 AM IST\nWork Mode:\nHybrid Working Mode - 3 days' work from office every week.\nLocation:\nHyderabad \nConsilio’s True North Values\nClient Experience | Listen for the “why”.
