As a global leader in fire and gas safety technology, we serve critical industries such as marine, energy, rolling stock, and critical infrastructure.\nWith more than 100 years of expertise, we combine deep industry knowledge with cutting-edge innovation to shape the future of Safety Tech. We are headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, with over 55 offices worldwide.\nWe are a fast-evolving global organization backed by the private equity firm Antin Infrastructure Partners and are continuing an ambitious journey of expansion and transformation. With strong financial support and a clear strategic vision, we are investing in innovation, operational excellence, and talent - the key drivers that will take us to the next level.\nThis is truly an exciting time to join us!\nAbout the Role\nWe’re looking for a UX Designer to join our team on a temporary basis, around 1 year, covering a leave.\nAs the sole designer, you will take ownership of the user experience for our Safety Management System, while also supporting other products as needed. Our products are used by professional operators in safety-critical environments, where usability, clarity, and reliability matter.\nWe are in the middle of an exciting journey as we continue to evolve our next generation safety systems. As the sole designer, you'll play a central role in shaping both new functionality and the overall user experience of these.\nWhat You’ll Do\nOwn and drive the user experience of safety-critical products.\n\nWork closely with developers and domain experts to design new functionality and evaluate existing workflows.\n\nBuild a strong understanding of operational workflows, user needs, and system behaviours.\n\nBalance user needs, operational workflows, technical constraints, and safety requirements when designing solutions.\n\nCreate design documentation that clearly describes flows, edge cases, exceptions, and state handling, helping development teams implement solutions with confidence.\n\nWhat You Bring\nHave experience working with complex or safety-critical systems where reliability, clarity, and usability matter.\n\nAre comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your area.\n\nCan build your own understanding of users, products, and operational contexts.\n\nHave strong attention to detail and enjoy working through edge cases, system behavior, and interaction details.\n\nCan communicate design decisions clearly and create documentation that helps align design and development.\n\nAre fluent in English, both written and spoken.\n\nWhat We Offer\nA chance to work on products where design decisions can have a direct impact on safety, efficiency, and day-to-day operations.\n\nClose collaboration with experienced engineers and domain experts.\n\nSignificant ownership and influence over the product experience.\n\nPortfolio or Case\nWhile not required, we encourage you to include a portfolio or case study.\nWe're particularly interested in understanding how you approach complexity, work through design decisions, collaborate with developers, and communicate solutions for implementation.\nThe final screens matter, but we're often more interested in the reasoning behind them. We believe a strong submission show examples of how you worked through workflows, trade-offs, edge cases, technical constraints, or implementation considerations.\nReady to Join Us?\nIf you’re excited about developing world-class safety systems and want to work in a company that values initiative and expertise - we’d love to hear from you.\nApply today and help us shape the future of safety.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3672,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"Advanced (C1)","optional":false}]},"benefits":["Equity"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Rail Transport"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-09T15:53:34Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":19,"expected_fill_days":108,"reasons":["conf:2","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-29T05:49:05Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/consilium-safety-ux-designer-temporary-assignment","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/consilium-safety-ux-designer-temporary-assignment.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-29T17:11:11Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":25725,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-30T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":713471},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=713471"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fconsilium-safety-ux-designer-temporary-assignment"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fconsilium-safety-ux-designer-temporary-assignment"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fconsilium-safety-ux-designer-temporary-assignment"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/consilium-safety-ux-designer-temporary-assignment\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fconsilium-safety-ux-designer-temporary-assignment"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":2184939}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"consiliumsafety.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":2184939},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
