A truly exciting time to join us.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Junior Embedded Software & Cybersecurity Engineer, you will contribute to the development of secure embedded systems for railway fire detection and protection applications in safety-critical environments.\nYou will work closely with a senior embedded engineer with extensive experience in railway systems, TCMS communication, and cybersecurity, gaining strong hands-on exposure and structured technical mentorship.\nThe role combines embedded software development with cybersecurity engineering, focusing on:\nEmbedded cybersecurity implementation on Renesas microcontrollers with ThreadX RTOS, aligned with IEC/EN 62443-4-2\n\nSecure railway system integration, including onboard TCMS communication using TRDP and related protocols\n\nYou will collaborate with R&D, systems, validation, and cybersecurity teams across the full product lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport implementation of cybersecurity functions in embedded RTOS-based systems\n\nAssist in secure communication, authentication, and system integrity mechanisms\n\nContribute to software testing, debugging, and verification activities\n\nHelp implement cybersecurity requirements aligned with IEC/EN 62443-4-2\n\nSupport documentation, configuration management, and technical reporting\n\nParticipate in system integration, troubleshooting, and lab testing\n\nAnalyze communication protocols and onboard network architectures\n\nRequirements\n\nEducation\nDegree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.\nTechnical Skills\nBasic C programming for embedded systems\n\nUnderstanding of microcontrollers and embedded architectures\n\nFundamentals of RTOS, TCP/IP, and embedded communication protocols\n\nInterest in cybersecurity principles (authentication, secure communication, integrity, secure development)\n\nSoft Skills\nAnalytical and structured problem-solving mindset\n\nClear communication and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams\n\nStrong motivation to learn and develop technical expertise\n\nNice to Have\nExposure to ThreadX or other RTOS environments\n\nFamiliarity with industrial or railway communication systems\n\nAwareness of IEC/EN 62443 or similar cybersecurity standards\n\nExperience with Git/SVN\n\nBasic use of debugging tools (oscilloscope, protocol analyzers, etc.)\n\nInterest in safety-critical or railway systems\n\nWho We’re Looking For\nA motivated junior engineer eager to build deep expertise in embedded cybersecurity and railway systems.
