This role serves as a key liaison between clients, developers, utility operators, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams, ensuring the successful delivery of water, wastewater, drainage, and utility infrastructure projects.\nWorking closely with the Municipal Engineering Manager, the Municipal Project Manager will oversee project execution from planning and design through construction, while helping clients address infrastructure needs, regulatory requirements, and long-term capital improvement objectives. This position offers a blend of technical engineering, project management, client interaction, and team leadership responsibilities within a growing municipal infrastructure practice.\nWhat You'll Do:\nManage the planning, design, permitting, and construction of municipal infrastructure projects, including water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, force mains, lift stations, drainage facilities, and utility extensions.\nServe as a primary point of contact for Municipal Utility Districts, utility operators, developers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.\nCoordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.\nPrepare and review engineering reports, technical memoranda, cost estimates, specifications, and construction documents.\nAssist district clients with capital improvement planning, infrastructure assessments, and long-term utility system planning.\nSupport district board meetings by preparing project updates, engineering recommendations, and infrastructure improvement presentations.\nCoordinate permitting activities and agency approvals with TCEQ, local municipalities, counties, and other regulatory entities.\nReview plats, utility plans, development submittals, and construction plans for compliance with district standards and engineering requirements.\nProvide construction phase support, including responding to contractor questions, reviewing submittals, and assisting with project closeout activities.\nManage project budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and financial performance.\nLead and mentor engineers, designers, and technical staff assigned to project teams.\nMaintain effective working relationships with district directors, developers, attorneys, financial advisors, utility operators, and regulatory agencies.\nAssist with proposals, client presentations, and business development efforts to support practice growth.\nPromote technical excellence and adherence to company quality management standards.\nWhat You'll Need:\nBachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, or a related engineering discipline.\n10+ years of experience in municipal utility district, land development, municipal infrastructure, or utility engineering consulting.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license.\nKnowledge of Municipal Utility District operations and development processes.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality client service.Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.\nDemonstrated project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.\nExperience preparing engineering reports, construction documents, and technical deliverables.\nFamiliarity with TCEQ regulations, permitting requirements, and Texas utility infrastructure standards.\nExperience managing water, wastewater, drainage, or utility infrastructure projects through planning, design, and construction.\nProven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.\nThis hybrid job operates between an office environment and a field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines. May require occasional exposure to work environments that may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling.
