We are seeking an experienced and organised Kitchen Coordinator to join our culinary team at Constance Halaveli, Maldives. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring seamless collaboration between kitchen staff and front-of-house teams whilst maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our chefs and kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

• Coordinate daily kitchen operations, including staff scheduling, task allocation, and workflow management
• Manage food and beverage inventory, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction initiatives

• Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with local and international regulations.
• Liaise effectively between the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Monitor food preparation quality, consistency, and presentation standards across all dishes.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and facilities, coordinating maintenance and repairs as required.
• Support menu planning, food costing, and portion control to optimize operational efficiency.
• Provide induction and ongoing training to kitchen staff on procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Implement and monitor sustainability practices, including waste management and resource conservation.
• Prepare reports on kitchen performance, inventory levels, and operational metrics.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in kitchen operations or culinary coordination.
• Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP principles.
• Proven experience in inventory management and food supply chain coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to schedule and coordinate multiple kitchen staff members.
• Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and culinary practices.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality assurance.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Problem-solving ability and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in kitchen management software or point-of-sale systems (desirable).
• Experience in high-volume hospitality settings, such as resorts or restaurants (desirable).
• Knowledge of international cuisines and diverse culinary practices (desirable).
• Supervisory or team leadership experience (desirable).
• Familiarity with food costing and budgeting principles (desirable).
