Experience handling complex commercial litigation, class action defense, or privacy and cybersecurity litigation is preferred. Substantial experience in privacy and data breach litigation is not required, but a demonstrated interest in developing a practice in this rapidly evolving area of law is highly desirable.\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in litigation, excellent research and writing skills, and experience managing substantive aspects of complex litigation matters.\nThis position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys on sophisticated, high-profile matters for clients across a variety of industries, while gaining meaningful hands-on experience and opportunities for professional growth.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist in defending clients in privacy and data breach class actions, single-plaintiff privacy litigation, technology errors and omissions matters, and other complex commercial litigation.\nConduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other substantive litigation documents.\nParticipate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.\nAnalyze complex legal and factual issues involving privacy statutes, cybersecurity incidents, and emerging legal developments.\nCollaborate with partners, senior attorneys, and other team members to develop litigation strategies and achieve favorable client outcomes.\nCommunicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal litigation teams.\nStay informed of developments in privacy and cybersecurity law, including emerging litigation trends and regulatory changes.\nQualifications\n3-7 years of litigation experience, preferably involving complex commercial litigation, class action defense, privacy litigation, or cybersecurity-related disputes.\nStrong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.\nExperience with substantive motion practice, written discovery, and other aspects of litigation.\nFamiliarity with federal and state privacy statutes, including CCPA/CPRA, BIPA, VPPA, and related laws, is preferred but not required.\nExcellent academic credentials and demonstrated professional achievement.\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.\nJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.\nActive admission to the California State Bar is preferred, but not required.\nRemote work arrangements are available.\nThis position offers a competitivebase salary range of $148,000-$217,000 nationwide. In addition to base compensation, Associates are eligible for additional performance-based incentives, including billable hour bonuses, providing opportunities to increase their total annual compensation.\nActual base compensation within this range will be determined by several factors, including geographic location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by applicable law.\nOnly applicants who possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and are actively licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction will be considered.
