This is your opportunity to join our fast growing team and leave your mark on Vultr and the future of Cloud Infrastructure.\nKey Responsibilities\nMentor and train Junior System Administrators and System Administrators to develop technical expertise and operational best practices.\n\nLead technical projects from planning through implementation, ensuring timely and successful delivery.\n\nManage incident response activities for escalated issues, coordinating resolution and communication as needed.\n\nPerform the setup, configuration, and ongoing management of internal infrastructure virtual machines (VMs) and services.\n\nPlan, stage, and deploy platform upgrades and updates across the server fleet.\n\nProvision and configure software on new nodes to support production and development environments.\n\nPerform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for platform and customer-reported issues.\n\nInstall, configure, and commission servers by deploying required operating systems, software, and services.\n\nQualifications\n5+ years of experience administering enterprise Linux environments (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, or similar).\n\nAdvanced knowledge of Linux system administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security best practices.\n\nProficiency in Bash, Python, or other scripting languages used for automation and infrastructure management.\n\nExperience deploying and managing virtualization platforms and containerized workloads, including Kubernetes and Libvirt.\n\nFamiliarity with networking technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS.\n\nExperience configuring and supporting web servers, databases, caching solutions, and distributed storage platforms such as Ceph.\n\nWorking knowledge of Cumulus Linux, PHP routing, and related infrastructure technologies is a plus.\n\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex platform and customer-facing issues.\n\nExcellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams.\n\nCompensation\n$80,000 - $100,000\nFinal compensation will vary depending on years of experience, background/skill set, location, and applicable laws.\nInclusion & Privacy\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
