You will oversee the design, deployment, and operation of block, object, and file storage services across all global regions and performance tiers - from Archival to Standard to Accelerated. This is a rare opportunity to shape the storage backbone that powers hundreds of thousands of workloads worldwide, from everyday applications to the most demanding AI training and inference pipelines.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and grow a high-performing team of storage engineers and operators across multiple regions\n\nOwn the technical delivery for Vultr's block, object, and file storage products across all performance tiers\n\nDrive architecture decisions for multi-tenant, multi-tier storage platforms serving diverse workload profiles\n\nEnsure five-nines availability, durability, and performance SLAs across the global storage fleet\n\nIntegrate and operationalize third-party storage solutions as needed\n\nOptimize storage systems for AI and HPC workloads requiring extreme throughput and low latency\n\nCollaborate with product, infrastructure, and customer success teams to define storage offerings and SLAs\n\nManage capacity planning, cost optimization, and vendor relationships across the storage stack\n\nQualifications\n7+ years of experience in storage engineering, with 3+ years in engineering management\n\nDeep expertise with Ceph and distributed storage architectures in production environments\n\nExperience building and operating multi-tenant cloud storage services at scale\n\nStrong understanding of block, object, and file storage protocols and performance characteristics\n\nExperience with third-party enterprise storage platforms (DDN, VAST, Weka, NetApp) is a strong plus\n\nKnowledge of high-performance storage optimization techniques for AI and HPC workloads is a plus\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience\n\nCompensation\n$160,000 - $180,000\nFinal compensation will vary depending on years of experience, background/skill set, location, and applicable laws.\nInclusion & Privacy\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
