We are looking for a highly organized, hands-on Practice Manager / Lead Medical Assistant to help run the day-to-day operations of our growing clinic.
This is a working leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable supporting patients and clinicians as a Medical Assistant and taking ownership of the overall operations of the office. You will initially serve as a lead MA while helping build the clinic team, and over time will take on increasing responsibility for managing and developing MAs and other clinic staff.
You will report to the General Manager and serve as the primary on-site leader responsible for keeping the clinic organized, efficient, welcoming, and running smoothly every day.
Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operations of the clinic
Serve as a hands-on Medical Assistant and support front- and back-office workflows as needed
Manage, coach, and support Medical Assistants and other clinic team members as the team grows
Ensure strong patient scheduling, check-in, rooming, visit flow, and follow-up processes
Coordinate closely with clinicians to keep clinic operations running smoothly
Maintain office supplies, medical supplies, equipment, and inventory
Coordinate with vendors and outside partners as needed
Ensure the clinic is clean, organized, stocked, and ready for patients each day
Help establish and maintain efficient clinical and administrative workflows
Identify operational issues and take ownership of solving them
Support hiring, onboarding, training, and day-to-day accountability of clinic staff
Jump in wherever needed to support patients, clinicians, and the broader team
Qualifications
Prior experience working as a Medical Assistant required
Experience in both front-office and back-office medical practice operations required
Previous experience as a Lead MA, Office Manager, Practice Manager, or people manager strongly preferred
Experience directly managing or supervising Medical Assistants
Strong understanding of day-to-day outpatient clinic operations
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
Flexible, resourceful, and willing to roll up your sleeves
Excited about working in an early-stage, growing healthcare organization
Strong communicator who can build trust with patients, clinicians, and team members
Proven ability to take ownership and operate independently
What Success Looks Like
You are the person who makes sure the clinic works. The team knows who to go to, clinicians have what they need, patients move through the office smoothly, supplies are stocked, operational issues get solved, and the clinic feels organized and well-run.
This is a great role for an experienced Medical Assistant who wants to continue being close to patients and clinical operations while growing into a broader leadership and practice management role.
