Works to ensure global compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and company policies and procedures. Drives best practice through research, standardization, and awareness among business constituents. Works on project teams that are responsible for complex business transactions.\nResponsibilities:\nProvide accounting support and guidance for complex business transactions such as acquisitions, divestures and financing activities. \nSupport the integration of acquired companies into accounting and reporting systems and processes.\nReviewing forecast models and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support recurring and nonrecurring valuation work for goodwill, intangibles and other assets and liabilities.\nPrepare and review journal entries to record complex intercompany funds flow and equity transactions, including the appropriate calculation of historical foreign currency translation rates.\nResearch and provide technical accounting guidance in accordance with U.S. GAAP. \nProvide support and review emerging accounting pronouncements for implications to the global Constellation organization.\nAssist in the implementation of new accounting standards applicable to the organization. \nWork with the business and internal audit to ensure appropriate internal controls over financial reporting, advise on and monitor segregation of duties conflict mitigation, maintain control documentation, monitor for compliance, assess potential control deficiencies and support remediation.\nJointly responsible for updating and creating accounting policies and procedures required by either technical accounting, business or internal control changes.\nJointly responsible for reviewing business contracts for accounting implications and determination of appropriate accounting under the contracts. \nParticipate in and lead projects from an accounting perspective that arise as a result of business requirements, such as implementation of new software or process improvements.\nAssist with the coordination of internal and external audits as well as the preparation of statutory financial statements.\nProvide oversight and governance related to the general ledger, including chart of accounts, business units, companies, etc.\nRequired Qualifications:\nDemonstrated strong technical accounting skills.\nInternal Control over Financial Reporting experience strongly preferred.\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting required, MBA strongly preferred.\nCPA certification required.\n6-12 years of experience in public accounting or relevant industry experience with progressive responsibility and experience in the accounting function.\nProficiency with personal computers and associated word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software; experience with SAP S4/HANA and OneStream a plus.\nExcellent communication skills required (both verbal and written).\nSpanish language a plus.\nCore Competencies to be Successful:\nVery strong analytical skills, research skills, and business acumen - ability to rapidly come up to speed on new issues and identify the critical questions to be addressed.\nStrong communications skills and ability to communicate and influence all levels in the organization including a broad base of finance and business partners.\nComfort working through ambiguity and in a rapidly-changing environment.\nAbility to leverage technology to innovate ways of working, processes and controls.\nInitiative and results oriented.\nStrong attention to detail.\nStrategic thinking.\nAbility to build productive relationships.\nProficiency in planning, prioritization and project management. \nADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements\nOccasional lifting up to 25 lbs.\nSitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time.\nPrimary work environment is professional corporate office and part-time remote, if desired.\nAbility to travel commercially to domestic and international locations.\nLocation\nRochester, New YorkAdditional Locations\nJob Type\nFull timeJob Area\nFinance & AccountingThe salary range for this role is:\n$105,100.00 - $164,400.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor.
