Our satellite constellation delivers high-resolution land surface temperature data, giving governments, defence organisations, commercial operators and global institutions the intelligence they need to monitor change, assess risk and make better-informed decisions.\nFrom national security and critical infrastructure to agriculture and climate resilience, constellr turns temperature into actionable intelligence for a changing world.\nYour Role\nWe are seekinga highly motivated Space Systems Engineer with strong background in MBSE and development of engineering processes to support the transition toMBSE across our organization and implementation of SysMLmodels for the constellation architecture. The candidate will work closely with satellite development team systems engineers, particularly in the context of developing satellite payloads for various missions. \nKey responsibilities\nSupport the transition of development processes to model-based approaches across the organization.\nSupport the definition and establishment of the PLM processes and model configuration and reuse across various missions.\nSupport the definition of engineering processes for other systems engineering activities (e.g. requirements management, manufacturing and AIT process).\nParticipate in development of SysML models for various systems.\nSupport the automatic generation of documents from models.\nIdentifytraining needs and coordinate with external providers to upskill engineering teams.\nDevelop internal guidelines and best practices for MBSE usage.\nInterface with Toolchain suppliers.\nInterface with Infrastructure team for deployment of tools and access management \nJob requirements\nAbout you \nRequired: \nDegree in Aerospace Engineering, Optics, Physics, or a related field \nStrong understanding of systems engineering principles and development lifecycle.\nAt least 2 years of experience in space industry, ideally in development of Earth Observation payloads\nHands-on experience with SysML (preferably SysML v2), MBSE tools and modelling methodologies and frameworks \nExcellent communication and documentation skills.\nAbility to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives.\nGood Programming skills in python\nExperience with Git and Github workflows\nAbility to think abstractly and conceptualize\nAbility to travel for business purposes as needed \nNice to Have: \nFamiliarity with requirements management tools\nFamiliarity with or experience in architecture modelling for constellations, system of systems, or product lines.\nFamiliarity with GraphQL , build tools (make, pydoit), and Docker \nWhy join constellr?\nHigh-Impact National Security Mission: Be part of an ambitious mission to launch the world’s first commercial thermal infrared constellation, delivering sovereign-grade \"behavioural\" intelligence from space to close critical blind spots for defence, intelligence, and maritime surveillance agencies.\nFast-Paced \"New Space\" Innovation: Work at the leading edge of a rapidly evolving defence sector.
