Site Engineer

Location - Sheffield

An exciting opportunity for a Site Engineer has arisen within Galliford Try’s Infrastructure Business. Working on our £15m Sheffield town improvements project, you will assist in providing setting out and engineering control on site.

What you will be doing:

  • Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
  • Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities and provide information to operatives and subcontractors.
  • Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings.
  • Assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring all works are undertaken in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans and maintaining the as-built records.
  • Control and minimise waste on site and ensure all company property under your control is taken care of.
  • Assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required.
  • Identify and assist in introducing new process, techniques and innovations on site.

About you:

  • Have a Higher National Diploma (degree desirable).
  • Be confident in Standard setting out techniques and ability to use Level and EDM with knowledge of GPS (preferred).
  • Ability and desire to work safety.
  • Have a flexible attitude to work with problem solving skills to create an innovative workplace.
