This is a hands-on role in a small technical team, not portfolio management. The Head of Product decides what gets built, keeps research and engineering pointed at something shippable, and owns the relationship with the customers and partners who use it.\nResponsibilities\nPillar 1 Product Direction\nOwn the roadmap for the quantum software line and the decisions behind it.\nDefine which capabilities go into the Constructor technology platform and in what order.\nTranslate research capability into product that someone outside the group will pay for or use.\nKill work that is not going anywhere, and say so clearly.\nSuccess Metrics and KPIs: roadmap delivered, features adopted, decisions made and held.\nPillar 2 Research and Engineering Interface\nSit between physicists and engineers and keep both productive.\nRun planning and prioritisation for a small, senior, opinionated team.\nHold the technical depth to challenge both sides rather than relay between them.\nAccountability: research output converted into shipped product.\nPillar 3 External Engagement\nOwn customer, partner and vendor relationships directly.\nWork with Constructor Tech and Constructor University on joint offerings and teaching applications.\nRepresent the group externally at conferences and with partners.\nSuccess Metrics and KPIs: partner engagements initiated and sustained, external visibility of the group.\nRequirements\nExperience\nTechnical background in physics, engineering or computer science, with enough depth to hold your own with research scientists.\nTaken scientific or deep-tech software from research prototype to product.\nRun customer and partner engagements personally, not through a sales team.\nWorked somewhere small enough that the product person also does the work.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong facilitation. You will be the person keeping a room of physicists on track.\nComfortable being the only product person present.\nAble to say no and explain why.\nClear communication with technical and non-technical audiences.\nEducation & Languages\nDegree in a technical discipline; postgraduate qualification an advantage.\nFluent English.\nWhat This Role Is (and Is Not)\nThis role IS\nHands-on, senior, and
