As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for property maintenance, building operations and a quality image of all retail and corporate offices.\nWhat you will do:\nMaintains and enhances the interior and exterior appearances of our retail and corporate offices. \nPerform facility maintenance and troubleshooting tasks that may include but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry work.\nMonitor and respond to help me tickets and various maintenance and service requests by colleagues.\nAssists with clearing office audits.\nMonitor vendor performance and work closely with outside vendors to ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications.\nAssist with all functions related to physical security and life safety systems, including but not limited to building security alarms, entry operations, and life safety equipment.\nAssist with proper maintenance, operation and upgrades of HVAC, electrical, lighting, power generation, fire suppression, door controls and other programmable systems and equipment.\nAssists with record retention storage areas and ensures document retention processes are in compliance.\nAssists with construction and renovation projects.\nAssists with monitoring facilities for compliance with MIOSHA, OSHA, and ADA requirements.\nAssists with central supply process.\nAssists with audio/video capabilities in conjunction with IT Department.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nWhat you'll bring to the table:\nAssociates or bachelor’s degree highly preferred, or equivalent.\n3+ years of related experience and/or training in field.\nKnowledge of and ability to operation building automation systems.\nMust have strong mechanical and technical aptitude\nDemonstrate strong written and communication skills.\nMust have analytical and problem solving skills.\nKnowledge or experience in building automation systems and basic knowledge of HVAC systems.\nMust be available outside of normal business hours to assist in recovery in the event of failure or outage of critical systems; including for maintenance, site visits, and testing purposes.\nAbility to lift up to 75 lbs.\nMust be comfortable and able to work on a ladder.\nMust be able to operate small hand and electric mechanical tools.\nMust be able to work independently without direct supervision.\nMust have valid driver’s license.\nWhat you didn't know about the team:\nAt Consumers, you're joining a team that works closely together and counts on one another.
