With this job, you join the global team working on our product ContiConnect.\nIn this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of digital services within Continental Tires, driving innovation and technological advancement in our industry.\nMain Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, and maintain reliable backend microservices with a focus on scalability and performance;\nContribute to the creation and maintenance of clear technical specifications and design documentation;\nTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently, escalating when necessary;\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (business, architects, and developers) to deliver features using agile practices;\nWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code aligned with team standards and best practices;\nEnsure backend services meet security, compliance, and quality standards;\nParticipate in code reviews and actively incorporate feedback to improve code quality;\nContinuously learn and apply new technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance development efficiency.\n University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related field;\n+2 years of hands-on experience in Java development, preferably with Spring Boot;\nSolid understanding of relational databases and strong SQL skills;\nExperience operating and supporting multi-user or distributed systems in production environments;\nFamiliarity with CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, SonarQube);\nExperience working with containerized environments such as Docker;\nBasic knowledge of Linux command line and system operations;\nUnderstanding of incident management processes in a production setting;\nExposure to event-driven architecture or messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka) is a plus;\nBasic frontend knowledge (e.g., Angular) is a plus;\nStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities;\nEffective communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;\nStructured, self-organized work style with a strong sense of ownership and reliability;\nBusiness fluent English language skills (written and spoken);\nTeam player mentality;\nGood communication skills, conveying content to technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n Our offer:\nIntegration in a challenging and international work environment;\nFlexible working model;\nCollaborative working style;\nContinuous opportunities for the promotion of talent and training;\nOpportunity to make a difference.\nWe are committed to fostering a workplace where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.
