Continental's tire division employs more than 56,000 people worldwide and has 19 production and 16 development sites.\nAre you ready to shape the future with us?\n The Cutter Operator is responsible for operating equipment that produces body ply, breaker, chafer, and slit gum components for commercial tire manufacturing operations. This position ensures product quality, maintains material inventory, troubleshoots equipment issues, follows safety and operating procedures, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.\nHOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT\nOperate cutter equipment according to production schedules and SAP work orders.\nMonitor machine performance and respond to equipment downtime or abnormal conditions, notifying supervision as needed.\nRead, interpret, and react to machine setup specifications and production requirements.\nVerify that all required materials and supplies are available before production begins.\nFollow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) to ensure quality and production targets are met.\nAccurately record production time, quantities, and operational data in required systems.\nUse online and offline quality monitoring systems to ensure components meet established specifications.\nRead product specifications and use measuring devices, gauges, and hand tools to verify product quality.\nMaintain proper scrap reporting using the SBS system and assign the correct reason codes.\nUtilize manufacturing systems, including CGMS, EWM, and SBS, to support workflow, inventory, and quality requirements.\nMaintain adequate component inventory and proper stock levels.\nOperate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and responsibly.\nEnsure proper care and maintenance of material-handling equipment.\nFollow all plant, departmental, environmental, and safety policies.\nComply with Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) procedures and work instructions.\nImmediately report unsafe conditions, environmental hazards, or incidents and assist in implementing preventive measures.\nDemonstrate safe work practices and encourage a strong safety culture.\nMaintain 5S standards by keeping work areas clean, organized, and orderly.\nTroubleshoot equipment and process issues using effective problem-solving techniques.\nCommunicate effectively with team members, supervisors, support personnel, suppliers, and internal customers.\nRead and understand written and verbal instructions related to quality standards, specifications, procedures, and tolerances.\nPerform other duties as assigned by supervision.\n WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nSuccessful completion of the WorkKeys Assessment (Silver level).\nAbility to lead, support, and foster teamwork in a production environment.\nAbility to read and understand specifications and follow written and verbal instructions.\nBasic computer skills with the ability to learn and utilize manufacturing systems.\nAbility to work independently with limited supervision.\nAbility to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.\nADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT\nPrevious manufacturing or industrial production experience.\nExperience operating Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs), including forklifts.\nTHE PERKS\nImmediate Benefits \nPaid Time Off\nVolunteer Time Of\nTuition Assistance\nEmployee Discounts, including tire discounts\nCompetitive Bonus Programs\nEmployees 401k Match\nDiverse & Inclusive Work Environment\nEmployee Resource Groups\nEmployee Assistance Program\nFuture Growth Opportunities, including personal and professional\nAnd many more benefits that come with working for a global industry leader!\nTHE ENVIRONMENT\nSafety is our highest priority and safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to.
