Founded in 1871, the company generated sales of €19.7 billion in 2025 and currently employs around 76,000 people in 54 countries and markets.\n Continental’s Data & Customer Solutions Competence Center develops innovative digital products that support both our customers and internal teams, and we’d love for you to be part of it!\nOur Digital Solutions IT team is searching for a talented Data Engineer to oversee and enhance our data services.\nAs a Data Engineer, you will work in a SCRUM team closely with the backend developers, solutions architects and UI/App developers to build and enhance our existing and future digital services within Continental Tires.\nMain responsibilities:\nSupport and maintain cloud-based data platforms, pipelines, and streaming solutions;\nDevelop and enhance batch and real-time data pipelines:\nMonitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data and platform issues;\nSupport CI/CD, deployment, and automation processes;\nCollaborate with stakeholders to understand and deliver data requirements;\nContribute to data models, Lakehouse structures, and data quality improvements;\nApply engineering best practices through testing, code reviews, and documentation;\nWork with internal and external teams to deliver scalable data solutions;\nEnsure data reliability, performance, and availability across platforms;\nStay current with cloud, data, and streaming technologies and contribute to continuous improvement.\n University degree in Computer Science, IT, or related studies;\n+3 years of experience in data engineering, software development, or data warehousing.\nExperience with Java and SQL;\nKnowledge of PostgreSQL is an advantage;\nUnderstanding of data integration and processing of data from multiple source systems;\nFamiliarity with data streaming technologies such as Kafka and Apache Flink;\nExposure to modern data lake technologies (e.g., Apache Iceberg) is a plus;\nKnowledge of HBase, Spark, or Hive is a plus;\nFamiliarity with Git, CI/CD practices, and tools such as Jenkins;\nExperience working in Agile/SCRUM teams;\nAnalytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills;\nProficient English skills (written and spoken). \n Our offer:\nIntegration in a challenging and international work environment;\nFlexible working model;\nCollaborative working style;\nContinuous opportunities for the promotion of talent and training;\nOpportunity to make a difference.\nWe are committed to fostering a workplace where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.
