This position plays an important role in supporting and improving the quality of our manufacturing processes and products through data analysis, structured problem-solving, process improvement, and quality management system.\nAs a Quality Engineer, you will work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to identify quality issues, determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence. You will have the opportunity to work directly with manufacturing processes and engineered rubber products while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.\nYou will also support compliance with our Quality Management System and applicable customer requirements while helping drive improvements in product quality, process capability, efficiency, and reliability.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nMonitor and analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, defects, and opportunities for improvement.\nInvestigate internal and customer quality issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.\nLead or participate in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions.\nDevelop, implement, and monitor corrective action plans to ensure effectiveness.\nSupport process capability studies, statistical process control (SPC), and other quality engineering activities.\nDevelop and maintain quality documentation, procedures, work instructions, inspection standards, and control plans.\nCollaborate with Production and Engineering to establish and improve process controls and quality standards.\nSupport new product introductions, process changes, and product/process validation activities.\nConduct process and product audits and assist with internal and external quality audits.\nEvaluate nonconforming materials and products and support appropriate disposition decisions.\nWork with suppliers and internal departments to resolve material and component quality issues.\nUtilize quality tools and data analysis to identify opportunities to reduce scrap, rework, defects, and customer complaints.\nSupport customer complaint investigations and development of appropriate responses and corrective actions.\nAssist with maintaining compliance with applicable ISO 9001 requirements and company Quality Management System procedures.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on process capability, efficiency, reliability, and product quality.\nProvide technical support and quality training to employees as needed.\nMaintain accurate records and documentation related to quality activities.\nSupport additional quality projects and initiatives as assigned.\nWHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE\nBachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or another related technical discipline, with 3+ years of relevant quality/manufacturing experience preferred.\nExperience with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience with customer and supplier quality management.\nExperience with statistical analysis and quality reporting software.\nAbility to interpret technical specifications, drawings, procedures, and quality standards.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.\nDemonstrated ability to use continuous improvement methodologies to achieve measurable results, such as scrap reduction, improved process efficiency, or defect reduction.\nWorking knowledge of Quality Core Tools, including APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams.\nExperience with structured problem-solving methods such as 8D and 5 Whys.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze data and generate reports.\nExperience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.\nLegal authorization to work in the United States is required. \n ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT\nExperience in rubber, polymer, chemical, textile, or other process manufacturing environments.\nHands-on experience working within a production or plant environment.\nExperience supporting quality systems, inspections, and process improvements.\nExperience with manufacturing process capability, variation reduction, and defect identification.\nExperience working with Quality Core Tools including APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams.\nExperience leading or supporting Lean, Six Sigma, 8D, or other continuous improvement initiatives with measurable results.\nExperience working with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.\nExperience
