Employees must actively engage in the incident reporting system and highlight any shortcomings in the arrangements for health and safety and report any serious or immediate danger.\nQuality\nMaintain timely and accurate records of work activities on SAP, job cards, work permits, MS teams and any other methods prescribed.\nActively use CMMS (SAP) system to record time taken/spares used from work orders.\nGenerate and communicate ideas/suggestions to improve maintenance service and drive continuous improvement.\nActively participate in identifying areas for productivity and process improvements.\nParticipate in internal/external audits as required in order to improve quality performance against defined targets.\nPeople \nUnderstand the needs and expectations of the customer and your role in achieving the departmental and business objectives.\nClearly understand your role and responsibilities within the shift team and collaborate and cooperate with all team members.\nCommunicate clearly and professionally - provide feedback through supervision.\nDemonstrate a willing and flexible approach to work requirements.\nPositively contribute to assisting the development of the business.\nSupport other team members in achieving their tasks.\nEnsure good attendance and timekeeping - be ready for work in accordance with site rules and business requirements, for example during factory shutdown periods.\nTraining\nEngage in training and development activities provided by the company.\nCarry out induction and training of new members of the team.\nProvide training for process operators in on-line maintenance activities.\nAct as a mentor to apprentice and improve mechanical engineering standards within the team.\nHighlight any area in which training and development is required.\nOperational Duties\nEnsure continuity of maintenance support for manufacturing via effective, documented shift handovers with maintenance and manufacturing colleagues.\nContribute to the achievement of defined KPIs e.g. PPM schedule adherence and equipment availability.\nPlan your work load, be organised in the work place, complete the task promptly and know the next task.\nPerform planned preventative maintenance activities to meet agreed schedules\nCarry out breakdown repairs to minimise unplanned process downtime and maximise plant availability.\nInspect Mechanical systems, equipment, components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, to ensure compliance to known standards and specifications.\nDiagnose faults using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and take appropriate corrective measures.\nCarry out installation, modifications and decommissioning tasks as required.\nTest mechanical systems, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, using testing equipment, to ensure the compatibility and safety of system.\nUse a variety of tools and equipment such as access and lifting equipment, power tools, measuring and testing equipment and working at height and in confined spaces.\nOperate site service equipment such as boiler and compressors.\nOperate forklift trucks and mobile platforms if trained and licensed to do so.\nRecord spare parts usage from engineering stores.\nCommunicate maintenance issues to users/owners of equipment.\n Experience Required\nA minimum of 2 years’ experience in a maintenance / industrial environment.\nKnowledge Required\nKnowledge of a wide range of industrial plant and machinery including mechanical / pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.\nDemonstrate understanding of site safety systems, including permit to work procedures, isolation methods and other company policies.\nQualifications / Skills Required\nApprentice trained technician with City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate or equivalent in Mechanical discipline.\nGood Verbal and written communication skills.\n Competitive Pension Scheme\nOn site gym\nBonus Scheme\n26 days holidays plus bank holidays(pro rata for part time and shift workers)\nOn site subsidized canteen\nOnsite free parking\nCycle to Work Scheme\nReady to drive with Continental?
