  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and safe operation of electrical power distribution systems, including 115 kV and 22 kV substations.
  • Monitor system performance and lead troubleshooting activities to minimize power interruptions and equipment failures.
  • Develop and implement reliability improvement initiatives for critical electrical infrastructure.
  • Support power system expansion, modification, and upgrade projects.
  • Ensure the reliability and effectiveness of power protection systems, including protective relays, circuit breakers, transformers, CTs, VTs, and associated control systems.
  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for protection relays and protection equipment.
  • Review, analyze, and optimize protection coordination studies and relay settings to ensure system selectivity and fault isolation.
  • Investigate protection system malfunctions, nuisance trips, and electrical incidents, and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate periodic testing, calibration, and verification of protection devices to ensure compliance with engineering standards and operational requirements.
  • Maintain protection system documentation, relay settings records, and single-line diagrams.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs for substations, switchgear, transformers, and electrical distribution equipment.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Analyze maintenance data and reliability indicators to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support energy audits, sustainability programs, and corporate energy management objectives.
  • Provide technical support for utility systems and infrastructure to ensure reliable operation.
  • Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and improvement activities for utility equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure all power distribution, protection system, and utility activities comply with ESH regulations, electrical safety standards, and company requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and support implementation of electrical safety programs, including LOTO, arc flash, and safe work practices.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical power distribution, substations, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience with medium- and high-voltage systems (22 kV and 115 kV).
  • Hands-on experience in power system protection, protective relays, switchgear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
  • Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical system failures.
  • Experience in industrial utility systems and energy management programs is preferred.
  • Experience with fire alarm and fire protection systems is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, substation operation, and electrical protection coordination.
  • Knowledge of protective relays (e.g., SEL, ABB, Siemens, GE, Schneider) and relay testing practices.
  • Understanding of power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination.
  • Familiarity with electrical standards and regulations such as IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and local utility requirements.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency and energy-saving technologies.
  • Strong understanding of ESH requirements and electrical safety practices.
  • Knowledge of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), Arc Flash Protection, Electrical Risk Assessment, and Permit-to-Work systems.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with company standards, legal requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Good command of English.
