This includes constant communication with the staff, training of staff on kitchen procedures, laying out the production week to week and scheduling appropriately. Working offsite events, scheduling, training, writing plans for large events, and visiting events to insure quality.\nMonday - Friday.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nResponsible for execution of Breakfast, Lunch, and special events.\nConduct daily line checks/check food items for quality before each meal service.\nCommunicate to the staff any issues with food and service and continuous improvement.\nManage culinary team ensuring completeness and accuracy of work; Sous Chef, Cooks and Dishwasher staff.\nResponsible for menu development. Conduct research and development of new culinary trends and ideas for menus.\nOversee menu testing, prototyping and recipe compliance and generation.\nComplete weekly production sheets.\nComplete weekly schedule needs and forecasting for culinary production and events. \nManage cleanliness of the kitchen.\nOversee culinary staff development, training and team building plans.\nManage the inventory and ordering process. \nAssist General Manager in achieving financial goals through managing food cost. \nAttend regular culinary Management meetings.\nProvide leadership as a working manager.\nParticipates in the interview, selection and assessment of talent.\nSets performance expectations, work hours and manages delegation of responsibility.\nProvides coaching, training, and development opportunities.\nResolves employee concerns, escalated issues, and grievances.\nAssist General Manager with conducting Annual Employee Evaluations.\n Other (Non-Essential) Duties and Responsibilities:\nAdditional projects and assignments as needed.\nProvide leadership as a working manager at events.\nDevelop training programs and materials.\n Supervisory Responsibilities:\nParticipates in the interview, selection and assessment of talent\nSets performance expectations, work hours and manages delegation of responsibility.\nMakes hiring, firing, and promotional decisions.\nProvides coaching, training, and development opportunities.\nResolves employee concerns, escalated issues, and grievances. \nJob Requirements\nBachelors Degree in culinary or hospitality. Equivalent work experience in the industry acceptable.\nFive or more years culinary experience required, large kitchen strongly preferred. \nPrior management experience strongly preferred. \n ServSafe Manager and Allergen certification preferred.
