You’ll contribute hands-on fabrication support across a variety of prototyping disciplines, including metalworking, composites, additive manufacturing, and CNC operations.\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on builder with a strong customer-service mindset, solid fabrication fundamentals, and a desire to continuously learn and expand their technical capabilities.\nAs a Model Maker, you'll:\nSupport the rapid fabrication and iteration of prototype parts and assemblies for vehicle development projects.\nCollaborate with prototyping teammates and internal clients to understand project requirements, timelines, and risks.\nPrioritize and complete work in a fast-paced prototyping environment while maintaining high-quality standards.\nCommunicate project updates, fabrication constraints, and timing expectations clearly and professionally.\nOperate and support fabrication equipment and processes, including CNC machinery, metalworking tools, and additive manufacturing systems.\nPerform fabrication and finishing tasks such as deburring, hand-tool work, assembly, and fitment adjustments.\nSupport prototyping activities across disciplines including sheet metal fabrication, machining, welding, composites, and 3D printing.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused shop environment.\nRequirements\nQualifications:\n2+ years of experience as a model maker or fabricator \nBasic ability to use CAD tools such as Solidworks and to read and understand blueprints/engineering drawings \nAbility to communicate and evaluate a design for fabrication \nExcellent customer-service mindset\nBonus Qualifications:\nExperience with documentation tools like Jira, Confluence \nExperience with advanced CAD tools like CATIA and design concepts like GD&T MIG and TIG welding experience \nCNC operation
