You'll work closely with managers, project managers, trainers, and mentors to coordinate training schedules, evaluate instructional effectiveness, maintain accurate records, and support continuous improvements to training processes.\nThe ideal candidate brings hands-on autonomous vehicle experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate training activities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\nThis is a hands-on supervisory position focused on maintaining training quality, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring Vehicle Operations personnel are proficient in established standard operating procedures (SOPs).\nKey Responsibilities\nAs a Training Supervisor - Vehicle Operations, you'll:\nTraining Operations & Program Management\nOversee daily training activities at the assigned Vehicle Operations location.\nPartner with team leads, managers, project managers, trainers, and mentors to improve training efficiency, quality, and throughput.\nCoordinate training schedules, missions, sessions, and resources to support operational requirements and team scaling goals.\nMonitor training program performance and ensure established standards and targets are consistently met.\nIdentify opportunities to improve training workflows, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.\nTrainer & Mentor Supervision\nServe as the primary point of contact for onsite Vehicle Operations training personnel.\nEnsure trainers and mentors are aligned with established procedures, training expectations, and instructional standards.\nConduct training and development sessions for trainers and mentors.\nAudit trainer and mentor activities to ensure instructional quality and compliance with training standards.\nProvide guidance, coaching, and feedback to improve training effectiveness and consistency.\nLearner Progression & Performance Tracking\nMonitor learner progression throughout the Vehicle Operations training program.\nMaintain accurate training records, assessment results, and learner progress in the Learning Management System (LMS).\nIdentify training deficiencies, performance concerns, and areas requiring additional coaching.\nCollaborate with trainers, mentors, and management to address learning gaps and improve trainee performance.\nTrack training completion rates and overall program throughput.\nTraining Delivery & Curriculum Development\nFacilitate classroom and hands-on training sessions as needed.\nConduct real-world and simulated training experiences to reinforce operational procedures.\nReview, update, and maintain training materials, including classroom presentations, assessments, and instructional resources.\nEnsure training content reflects current SOPs, operational requirements, and best practices.\nSupport the continuous improvement of training materials and instructional methods.\nRisk Management & Reporting\nIdentify location-specific training risks and operational challenges.\nDevelop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize training disruptions.\nMonitor training quality, resource availability, and operational readiness.\nProvide regular updates on training progress, program throughput, and operational concerns to the Training Program Manager.\nCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain training continuity.\nOperational Support & Proficiency\nParticipate in operational service missions for a minimum of 8 hours per quarter, acting as a tactician to maintain proficiency with current SOPs.\nMaintain familiarity with Zoox vehicle testing procedures and Vehicle Operations responsibilities.\nSupport operational activities as needed to remain current with autonomous vehicle testing and service requirements.\nTravel to new locations when necessary to support training activities.\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\nAt least 12 months of experience as a fully trained Vehicle Operator at Zoox.\n1-3 years of experience in the autonomous vehicle (AV) industry.\nStrong knowledge of Zoox vehicle testing procedures, operational workflows, and safety requirements.\nFamiliarity with Vehicle Operations training standards and established SOPs.\nLeadership & Training Skills\nExperience working in highly collaborative environments and promoting a team-oriented culture.\nAbility to coordinate and support trainers, mentors, and operational personnel.\nProven ability to solve problems and improve operational efficiency.\nStrong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills.\nAbility to monitor training performance, identify deficiencies, and implement improvements.\nCommunication & Technical Skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to clearly explain technical concepts, operational procedures, and training expectations.\nStrong interpersonal skills for coordinating with team members, supervisors, and management.\nExcellent time management and prioritization skills.\nAbility to manage multiple training activities, schedules, and operational priorities simultaneously.\nTravel, Licensing & Compliance\nWillingness to travel to new locations to provide training support.\nMust possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.\nMust comply with the Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Program adopted by Zoox, as required for public passenger service.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProficiency with Google Workspace collaboration tools, including:\nGoogle Slides\nGoogle Sheets\nGoogle Docs\nGoogle Forms\nPrevious experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.\nExperience teaching, instructing, coaching, or facilitating training programs.\nBachelor's degree or relevant
