We invite you to become part of our family and contribute to our ongoing success.\nKey Responsibilities\nResponsible for supporting the flight crew members with operational control of flights and jointly responsible for the preflight planning and delay of flights in compliance with Federal Regulations and Contour Operations Specifications.\nWork closely with other divisions within System Operations Control to ensure that flight crewmembers maintain the Company's mission of safety above all.\nPlans flights considering the effects of enroute winds and weather, balancing safety, and economy. \nDetermines the minimum fuel supply necessary for the safe completion of the flight including any required alternate airports. \nProvides pilot-in-command with preflight briefing including aircraft and flight status as well as providing all current reports or information on airport conditions and irregularities of navigation facilities and all available weather reports and forecasts for weather phenomena that may affect the safety of the flight. \nMonitors the progress of each flight. \nIssues necessary information for the safety of the flight. \nCancel a flight if the flight cannot operate or continue to operate safely as planned or released. \nResponsible for rerouting or redirecting a flight based on economic considerations. This may include special routings, passenger convenience, and aircraft/flight crewmember utilization. \nRecommend flight plan alternatives. \nCoordinates aircraft diversions and recoveries. \nNegotiates with air traffic control for alternative routes and reductions in air traffic control delays. \nProvides operations expertise to the Maintenance Department and System Operations Control. \nMonitors and processes data provided by flight crewmembers and stations. \nAny other duty as assigned by management.\nQualifications\nMust be at least 18 years of age or older.\n\nMust have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.\n\nBe authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.\n\nAble to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check.\n\nMust understand, read, and write English.\n\nPossess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.\n\nPossess strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.\n\nMust have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.\n\nAble to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\n\nAble to handle interruptions and a fast-paced environment.\n\nMaintain strong attention to detail.\n\nBe self-motivated and able to motivate others.\n\nExcellent interpersonal and conflict resolutions skills.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nStrong supervisory and leadership skills.\n\nThorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.\n\nAbility to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.\n\nExcellent communication skills both written and verbal delivered with tact and professionalism.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\n\nAbility to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations.\n\nFAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate required\n\nA minimum of two (2) years’ dispatch experience is preferred.\n\nExtensive familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations, aeronautical charts, aviation weather, aircraft performance and flight planning\n\nThorough knowledge of Microsoft products such as Office 365, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
