The role is an active, approved vacancy within the organization and is intended to support current staffing needs. There is strong potential for this position to be converted into a permanent role upon successful completion of the contract, depending on business needs, individual performance, and organizational requirements at that time.\nGeneral Description\nThe Manufacturing Operator is responsible for executing manufacturing and packaging operations in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety and quality requirements. The role ensures that all materials, equipment, and processes are handled in a manner that consistently supports product quality, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.\nKey Responsibilities\nStage, weigh, and process released materials according to GMPs, SOPs, and safety requirements.\nComplete mechanical changeover of equipment.\nClean equipment, room, and general areas for production use.\nPrepare and complete all documentation applicable to production i.e.: manufacturing instructions, statistical process control charts, and incident checklists.\nParticipate in pre-delivery inspections and qualification for processing equipment.\nWrite and revise SOPs for new equipment and/or processes.\nCoordinate the ordering/commissioning of small equipment, instrumentation, and supplies.\nManufacture development batches.\nTrain other manufacturing team members.\nPerform related computer tasks: SAP, IMS.\nParticipate in internal and external quality audits.\nParticipate in quality and customer complaint investigations.\nLead and participate in process improvement initiatives.\nTrouble-shoot equipment and process related issues\nWork in other Manufacturing/Packaging areas as required.\nExperience & Skills\n0-1 year of production experience.\nWorking knowledge of production equipment and understanding of manufacturing processes.\nKnowledge and experience with IMS and SAP production transactions or similar operation systems.\nHighly motivated, conscientious, self-managed team player, with experience working in a production team environment.\nProven Technical Competency.\nStrong problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication skills, both verbal and written.\nOther computer skills such as Word and Excel are highly desirable.\nAbility to use and understand automation solutions such as IP21, eBRS, CDISY, Freeweigh, etc.\nEducation\nRequired: High School Diploma\nWorking Conditions\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.\nFlexibility to support shift work based on business requirements.\nRotating shifts including days, afternoons, and nights on a weekly rotation schedule.\nAdditional Information\nIn accordance with Ontario’s pay transparency requirements, candidates will be notified when they are no longer under consideration or once the vacancy is closed.
