The TL is responsible for setting and maintaining the highest standards of team presentation and capability to the client and will coordinate the direction and management of the team. The TL ensures that the team meets all operational and training standards, and that the team is fully compliant with Control Risks’ standard operating procedures (SOPs) at all times. The TL is responsible for the effective delivery of all tasks covering planning, booking, briefing, deployment, execution, recovery, debrief and close-down. This includes all aspects of the team staff, vehicles and equipment.\nApplication closing date: 28 October 2026\nPotential start date: mid-December 2026\nRotation: 4 weeks on, 8 weeks off\nSalary will be discussed with shortlisted candidates only\nTasks and responsibilities\nDemonstrates competence in Control Risks’ policies, SOPs and personal skills\nDisplays etiquette, discipline and maintains standards in all areas\nRemains informed about the threats and key issues in Ukraine\nConducts vehicle and dismounted contact and immediate action drills\nMaintains advanced first aid skills\nPossesses competent navigation skills including map-reading, compass, and use of GPS \nUses vehicle-mounted and handheld communications systems\nMaintains competence in all required skills through regular formal training \nManagement responsibilities\nConducts instruction in all relevant operational and medical team requirements in accordance with Control Risks’ training directives\nEnsures the team maintains a professional approach, appropriate client etiquette, discipline and presentation\nEnsures that the team conducts effective administration, including vehicle maintenance, equipment husbandry/accountability and reports and returns \nOperational responsibilities\nAssists in conducting risk assessments and operational planning\nIssues orders to team members and brief clients in line with SOPs when required\nConducts venue and route recces and produce reports\nCommands the team and issue direction to clients\nProvides emergency medical attention if required\nResponds effectively to adverse and/or unseen incidents \nRequirements\nKnowledge and experience\nEssential\nCompletion of Control Risks Ukraine induction and driving courses\nFamiliarity and comfort with Microsoft Office suite of applications\nFit and active to work in a challenging environment\nA minimum of 3 years of military / police experience\nA minimum of 2 years of experience working in in a private security company in a challenging environment\nAvailable to deploy within 2 weeks of hire \nPreferred\nCertified training instructor CTTLS, PTLLS or equivalent BTEC\nEx-military JNCO or equivalent\nTraining in leadership skills and performance management\nKnowledge of and exposure to diplomatic and commercial client \nQualifications and specialist skills\nValid SIA license (or equivalent)\nAccredited medical qualification (EFAW as a minimum.
