The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation and commissioning, with hands-on experience supporting equipment startup, controls, electrical systems, and system integration.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nCompletes QA/QC redlines for as-built construction drawings.\nReads and interprets schematics and drawings related to electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications. \nRepairs and adjusts system components (sensors, transmitters, programmable logic controllers, etc.); removes and replaces defective parts.\nPulls wire through conduits, holes, and splice, join, and/or connect wire to form circuits.\nTests circuits to ensure integrity and safety.\nCompletes daily field work orders and maintains hours worked and equipment used.\nCompletes inventory transfers and provides monthly warehouse inventory reports.\nSenior Journeyman will complete on the job training documents for Junior Technicians.\nMentors/trains electrical apprentices.\nProvides on-call support as required.\nParticipates/complies with company safety programs & company policies.\nOther duties as required.\nRequired Skills/Qualifications:\nJourneyman or interprovincial Red Seal Certificate in electrical.\nTechnical training or experience in the oil and gas industry is an asset.\nExperience using pressure and/or electrical test equipment to troubleshoot systems. \nAbility to read, interpret, and understand piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) drawings.\nAbility to work long hours and participate in on-call schedule as required.\nProficient computer skills with the ability to learn and use an ERP system, IFS w/ Aurena Tech Portal preferred.\nStandard First Aid/CPR with AED, H2S Alive, CSO, CSTS.\nSuccessful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test (required for safety-sensitive roles).\nCompletion of a criminal background check, with results assessed based on relevance to the position.\nVerification of a clean driving record, as defined by Control Tech’s standards (e.g., no major violations, no more than 3 infractions in the past 5
