This role provides data-driven insights and recommendations that support operational, financial, and strategic decision-making across the organization.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAnalyze medical billing, claims, reimbursement, denials, and financial performance.\nWork directly with Finance, Billing, Operations, IT, Sales, and other departments.\nIdentify revenue leakage, process failures, operational inefficiencies, and financial opportunities.\nTranslate business issues into clear analytical requirements and solutions.\nWrite complex SQL queries to analyze large and detailed datasets.\nDevelop and maintain BI reports, dashboards, KPIs, and operational metrics.\nMaintain standards for data governance, KPI definitions, reporting methodologies, and analytical documentation.\nPartner with business and technical stakeholders to ensure consistent and reliable reporting across departments.\nMaintain documentation of data source, calculations, report logic, and business definitions.\nIdentify emerging risks and opportunities through proactive analysis and business monitoring.\nMeasure and communicate the financial and operational impact of implemented solutions and recommendations.\nLead analytical initiatives from business problem identification engaging in implementation as appropriate.\nSupport prioritization of analytics and reporting initiatives based on business value and organizational objectives.\nAutomate repetitive reporting and analytical processes.\nValidate data accuracy and investigate discrepancies.\nPerform root-cause analysis on complex business and financial issues.\nQuestion results that do not make business sense and investigate proactively.\nRecommend practical solutions supported by data.\nDrive identified issues through resolution and verify results.\nOrganize and manage multiple priorities, projects, and requests.\nManage a team of approximately 2-4 analysts or BI professionals, including work prioritization, coaching, performance feedback, development planning, and support with hiring and talent decisions.\nReview team analysis, reporting, and SQL work for quality and accuracy.\nMentor team members in SQL, analytics, BI, and problem-solving.\nCommunicate findings clearly to both business and technical leadership.\nQualifications/Education:\n7+ years of Business Analysis, BI, strong data analysis, or related experience preferred.\nStrong hands-on SQL skills required.\nStrong experience analyzing large, complex relational datasets.\nSignificant healthcare financial, medical billing, claims, reimbursement, or revenue-cycle experience.\nFamiliarity with medical insurance plans, payer requirements, coverage rules, and documentation requirements.\nStrong BI and reporting background; ideally strong with Power BI solutions, Qlik, or similar reporting technologies.\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple departments.\nExperience managing or leading a small analytical or BI team.\nExperience developing executive-level dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics preferred.\nExperience with healthcare data governance, reporting standards, and data quality management preferred.\nAdvanced experience with power BI, data visulation, and business intelligence tools preferred. \nStrong organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.\nExcellent attention to detail and data accuracy.\nAble to communicate complex findings in clear business terms.\nCollege degree preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.\nCritical Characteristics:\nHands-on: Maintains significant hands-on analytical work even while managing the team.\nProactive: Hunts for problems and opportunities rather than waiting for work.\nAnalytical: Finds meaning in complex and sometimes conflicting data.\nData-driven: Able to challenge assumptions professionally using data.\nBusiness-minded: Connects analysis to financial and operational impact.\nOrganized: Effectively manages competing priorities and follow-through.\nStrategic: Able to connect analytical findings to organizational priorities and business outcomes.\nOwnership: Strong sense of ownership and follow-through.\nCollaborative: Works effectively across departments.\nLeader: Can direct 2-4 people without becoming removed from the actual work.\nDimensions:\nPhysical Demands\nNormal office physical requirements.\nReasonable accommodations may be made as required.\nWorking Conditions\nWork performed in an office or remote professional environment.
