This role will be responsible for driving the successful implementation of a new global background check process across multiple countries, ensuring consistent execution, stakeholder readiness, and a controlled transition into business-as-usual operations.\nWorking in partnership with HR, Talent Acquisition, Workday, Employee Relations, Legal, Risk Management, Procurement, country stakeholders, and an external screening provider, you will coordinate all aspects of implementation from process design and requirements gathering through to testing, go-live, stabilisation, and operational handover.\nThis is a highly visible role requiring strong programme delivery skills, global stakeholder management experience, and hands-on expertise implementing enterprise background screening solutions across complex, multi-country environments.\nSuccess in this role will be measured through on-time country launches, effective risk management, audit-ready documentation, stakeholder adoption, and a seamless transition to operational ownership.\nThis is a 6 months fixed-term contract.\nKey Responsibilities\nImplementation & Programme Delivery\nLead the end-to-end implementation and global rollout of Convatec’s background screening programme across multiple countries and regions.\nDevelop and manage implementation plans, governance forums, milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines.\nCoordinate implementation activities across internal teams, country stakeholders, Workday teams, and the selected screening provider.\nEnsure all countries are operationally ready for launch, with appropriate processes, controls, and support mechanisms in place.\nProcess Design & Operational Readiness\nDefine, document, and maintain end-to-end operating processes, including workflows, roles and responsibilities, decision points, escalation paths, and exception handling.\nFacilitate implementation workshops and requirements sessions with global and local stakeholders.\nTranslate business requirements into clearly documented build and configuration requirements for vendor and technology teams.\nEstablish readiness criteria and support testing, validation, and deployment activities across participating countries.\nStakeholder Management\nBuild strong partnerships across HR, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Legal, Risk Management, Procurement, Workday, and regional leadership teams.\nPartner closely with the CBS Process Owner to ensure operational readiness and sustainable long-term ownership.\nDrive alignment on process decisions, country requirements, policy interpretation, and implementation priorities.\nProvide regular updates on programme status, readiness, risks, issues, and key decisions to project leadership and governance forums.\nVendor & Risk Management\nAct as the primary day-to-day implementation lead for the background screening vendor.\nMonitor vendor deliverables, timelines, testing outcomes, and issue resolution activities.\nIdentify and proactively manage implementation risks, process gaps, defects, and country-specific challenges.\nEscalate unresolved issues and critical decisions to programme sponsors and workstream leaders where required.\nGo-Live & Transition\nCoordinate go-live activities and post-launch stabilisation support across all participating markets.\nOversee defect triage, issue resolution, and readiness tracking during deployment.\nSupport knowledge transfer, documentation, and transition plans to ensure successful handover into business-as-usual operations.\nPartner with change and communications stakeholders to support training, adoption, and stakeholder readiness activities.\nAuthority\nRecommend process improvements, implementation approaches, readiness activities, and risk mitigation actions for approval by business owners.\nCoordinate delivery across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups to achieve programme milestones.\nEscalate implementation risks, unresolved issues, and decision requirements through appropriate governance channels.\nContribute to programme reporting, leadership updates, and go-live readiness assessments.\nSkills & Experience\nRequired\nSignificant experience leading the implementation of global background screening programmes across multiple countries and regions.\nProven experience managing implementations with one or more leading background screening providers such as HireRight, First Advantage, Sterling, Accurate, or Checkr.\nStrong project and implementation management experience within HR, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Shared Services, or HR Transformation environments.\nExperience working with HR technology platforms, ideally Workday Recruiting and Workday onboarding processes.\nDemonstrated success managing complex stakeholder groups across HR, Legal, Compliance, Procurement, Risk Management, and external vendors.\nStrong workshop facilitation, requirements gathering, process mapping, and operational readiness experience.\nExcellent problem-solving, risk management, and delivery execution skills.\nPreferred\nExperience implementing global screening programmes within regulated or highly matrixed multinational organisations.\nKnowledge of international employment screening regulations, privacy requirements, and
