Embrace and drive Convatec’s core mission, values, and priorities.Key Responsibilities\nGenera l\nEnsure facilities, processes, personnel, and materials/products are microbiologically tested in line with cGMP and procedural requirements\nPrepare Microbiological media/agar and carry out Quality control checks\nWater sampling and Microbiological water testing\nPerform Environmental monitoring within the controlled environments\nPerform routine product bioburden testing\nMicroscopic Gram staining\nProvide microbiological support for Operations\nEnsure testing is conducted in an aseptic manner and the microbiology lab is kept in a clean, organised condition\nCollect trend data, react to trends and report to Team Lead. Manage out-of-specification results, facilitate laboratory investigations and involve the site Quality Director where applicable.\nMaintain laboratory metrics\nEnsure compliance is maintained as directed by Notified Bodies regulations\nComply with GMP/GLP requirements and uphold these standards\nComply with EHS requirements and uphold these standards\nMaintain validation of Microbiology test methods,\nEnsure maintenance of the operational equipment within the lab.\nEHS\nTo meet the safety, health, and environment policy.\nKeep information on the Convatec EHS policy and the regulations that support it.\nBe aware of workstation risks, respond appropriately, and communicate them to the responsible manager.\nTo support continuous improvement in the EHS areas by making recommendations on improvements to the responsible manager\nSkills & Experience:\nExperience of ISO11737, 11137,11135, 17665, and Pharmacopeia references is desirable\nUnderstanding of GMP and Quality Systems in a regulated environment.\nQualifications/Education:\nEducated to degree level, or equivalent, within a Microbiological discipline\nDemonstrated experience within a microbiology laboratory\nLanguages:\nMandatory spoken and written English\nWorking Conditions\nWorking in a laboratory and clean room environment as well as an office in Deeside, Wales\nREADY TO JOIN US?\nAt Convatec we´re pioneering trusted medical solutions to improve the lives we touch.
